Travis agreed to do the camping trip, seeing it as a bonding activity kind of thing, even though Scott and Kirstie were still not officially signed over to him and thus wouldn't be attending.

Mitch was hesitant to bring Scott up around Avi, though he did discuss the blonde with Alex, knowing Alex would understand.

In return, Alex shared a few things he'd learned about Travis.

Kevin drove them all to the campground, Mitch asleep on Alex's shoulder during the trip.

When they arrived, Travis and Avi immediately went to work setting up the tents, and though Alex offered to help, he was told to stay with Kevin.

Kevin was unpacking things from the car, and ended up needing more help than Travis anyway.

Mitch took this chance to get answers out of Kevin, rather than risking it with Avi. "Excuse me, Sir?"

Kevin glanced at him, before handing more things to Alex for him to take out of the car. "Kevin is fine, honey. Truly, I probably won't respond to 'sir' very often."

"Of course. I'm sorry Kevin."

"Don't be. Anyhow, what can I help you with?"

"I just have a question, kind of..."

Kevin paused for him to elaborate, but had to prompt him. "Go ahead."

"Alpha Scott will be joining your pack, right?"

"That is correct. Next week sometime. I think Kirstie will show up on Tuesday, and then Scott should come around later in the week."

"Oh okay.. Thank you, Sir."

"Kevin." He re-emphasized. "And you are welcome. I'm glad you and Scott hit it off well, so he won't feel ostracized in our group."

Mitch let out a breathy chuckle. "Well I'm glad someone's excited about that."

"About what? You and Scott being friends?" At Mitch's nod, Kevin continued. "Who wouldn't be excited about that?"

"Alpha Avi." Mitch replied quietly, not wanting Avi to hear.

Alex walked over to grab more things, now that Kevin was fully attentive to Mitch. "Avi was unhappy about it? Why?"

Mitch just shrugged. "Not sure. He was upset with me when I asked about Scott though."

"Alpha Scott." Kevin corrected. "It might seem demeaning, but Travis gets weird if people aren't addressed correctly. I don't know." He waved a hand. "Anyhow... I'm sorry about Avi. It's probably just because he seemed to like you when you first got here."

"Oh... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make him upset."

"It's not really your fault, Mitchie. Avi's just... Kind of lonely sometimes."

"What about Alex? Why can't Avi like him?"

Kevin laughed then, loudly. "Travis threatened him to keep his hands off of that as soon as we met you guys. I think he called it 'dibs.' A term I don't quite understand, though the concept is clear."

Mitch grinned, turning to glance at Alex, who was still setting things up where Travis told him to. "That's good. Alex likes him too, I think."

"Back to what we were speaking of; Avi was kind of hoping he'd catch you. Though I understand your attraction to Scott. Avi will have to figure something else out. Don't let him pressure you into feeling guilty."

"I won't. Thank you for your advice."

Kevin then reached into the car, and handed Mitch a few things. "Take these to Travis, please."
