"Huh, I'm up I'm up!" Vanessa said as she rolled of the bed. The sound of her alarm was the same as ever. BEEP BEEP BEEP...
It was five minutes till eight which meant she only had five minutes till she had to catch the bus. She scrambled up off the floor and threw off her PJ's sending them flying across the room. She quickly found a T-shirt and jeans and threw them on along with a hoodie. She rushed down the stairs, almost tripping and skidded into the kitchen. She grabbed a granola bar out of the pantry and her backpack and ran out the door.
She ran to her bus stop to find the bus was just starting to leave."Wait, wait! I'm here, wait for me!" she called. The bus doors opened and she ran up the steps and slid into the seat next to her best friend, Karen Bullay. "Seriously your late again Vanessa?" Karen sighed. "Sorry I guess I set my alarm for the wrong time!" Vanessa huffed as she caught her breath.The bus started to move sending Vanessa to bang her head on the seat in front of her. "Ow!" she moaned in pain and she started to rub her head.
After about ten minutes they arrived at the River Glide High School. The bus stopped and the two girls stepped off. "So I heard there is a new kid coming today" Karen said. "What's the kids name?" asked Vanessa "and where did he come from?". "His name is Connor Lowen and he just moved here from California!" Karen said excitedly. The two girls walked into the classroom to discover the new kid. Connor Lowen.
