"Jade, come quick! We need to go to the hospital" I hear my dad yell up the stairs with fear in his voice. I quickly throw down my homework and run down the stairs, meeting my dad at the bottom of stairs.
"Whats wrong?" I ask worried.
"It's your mother." He tells me, his eyes becoming glossy. My heart drops.
My eyes start to water as we rush to the car. I get into the back seat. My father and I run into my mothers hospital room. Past the information desk, nurses try to stop us from going inside, but we push through.
As we walk inside my mothers room,I see her deathly pale skin, dark bags under her eyes, her head slightly to one side. I run to her side, tears rolling down my checks. I hold her hand. My father towering behind me. I can hear him breathing hard, mixed with the beeping of the hospital machines. Her eyes open slightly and her head turns toward my father and I.
"I love you," She half whispers before one of the machines lets out a long beep. I hold my mothers hands tighter and sob loudly, leaning into my crying father.
