I dreaded seeing Isaac. I had no idea how he was going to react. I felt sick to my stomach as I took my seat in the 3rd row right in front of Isaac. He wasn't here yet and neither was anyone else. I set my notebook and pencils on my desk and straightened out my skirt before sitting.

As my classmates started filing in my stomach tightened. Why was my stomach hurt if I thought he deserved this? Isaac was the last one in right before our teacher. He sat beside me quietly which was strange because usually he talks up a storm. I saw a few brave kids looking at him and cracking up but most tried not to look at him. I tried to catch his eye but he never looked up.

When I got home that day my mom informed me that Isaac and his mom Tess were coming over for thanksgiving. That means that I will have no choice but to apologize to him in 6 days. Atleast there is no school next week so I can figure out what to say to him.

Thanksgiving day came waaaay to quickly but atleast that means Black Friday tomorrow. I love Black Friday!

Anyways today is what I am worried about. I started getting ready at 4:30 since Isaac and his mom were coming over at 6:30. I took a shower and scrunched my hair with mousse for 5 minutes then I hooked up my diffuser to my hair dryer and put my hair in in 4 sections for 10 minutes each. My hair came out hard and curly. I demoussed it scrubbing my hair inbetween my hands and then flicked my hair a few times. it came out looking natural. I then put on my pink ruffled top and dark wash skinny jeans with a few silver bracelets. I threw on some purple overshadow, masala and some light pink lipgloss. I looked at the clock. It was 6:20. I went down the stairs to the living room and say on the couch. I had already set the table right before I got ready so it was already ready. My mom had just taken the turkey from the oven and I had helped her set the other dishes on the table when the bell rang.

"Answer the door honey!" my mom called out to me.

"Ok!" I yelled back.

"Hey Miss Tess!" I greeted her with a hug.

I really loved Miss Tess. She was really sweet and like my second mom when I was younger. She never wanted to be called by her last name because she says it makes her seem old and she's not her mom's age yet so she prefers Miss Tess.

I looked behind her and saw Isaac standing there with a frown on his face looking at the ground.

"Hi Isaac." I said nervously. He just grunted.

"Oh. Don't mind him! He's been a trump this whole week. He hasn't even been out of the house since Friday. I have no idea what's gotten into him but don't worry about him." Tess informed me.

"Mom! Stop it!" Scolded Isaac.

"Oh. He talks!" Teased his mom. Isaac just grumbled. Awkward...

"Well, the foods ready, we should go to the dining room." I announced trying to break the silence.

The dining room was a cute little room just big enough for a table with 6 chairs. The walls were brown and green and the plates and napkins matched. There was champagne for the adults and apple cider for us. We drank from glass goblets. We stuffed ourselves with turkey, stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy and of course pumpkin pie. We all talked and laughed well except Isaac. He kinda just sat there with a frown on his face staring into space. My mom told me and Isaac to go watch a movie while she and Tess cleaned and caught up.

I chose a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I know it's a little kid movie but it's always been one of my favorites. I popped in the movie as Isaac sat on our dark brown leather couch. We have a 60 inch t.v. which my mom won one year at a work Christmas party in a raffle. I sat next to him. I curled one leg under me and sank into the soft leather. I suddenly remembered what I had found for Isaac as an I'm sorry present. I can't believe that my mom kept it. I ran upstairs and presented it to him.

"What is that?" he growled.

"A present duh!" I mumbled and rolled my eyes. "Just take it!"

"Fine. Whatever." He replied grabbing. After a couple of minutes of him just glaring at it I sighed.

"Just open it! It doesn't bite!" I yelled exasperated.

"Atleast that's what you want me to think." He says with a tiny smirk. He opened it and his jaw dropped in disbelief. "How? Where did you find it?" He stammered. It was a rare limited edition michelangelo teenage mutant ninja turtle action figure. His dad had given it to him for his 7th birthday right before he left them. It was his favorite toy and he had left it at my house by accident before he moved. I guess my mom had found it and kept it safe. He had tears in his eyes and said thanks.

I hugged him and expected him to pull away but was surprised when he didn't. We watched the rest of the movie in silence occasionally laughing at the funny parts. I told him I was sorry right before he left. He surprised me by kissing me quickly and laughing at my expression. I just smiled and went to bed thinking about his kiss.
