The End is only a Begining

Rias POV -
I couldn't believe it. Vali had been spending all this time looking for me. Sure I was glad, but pissed at what he had just called me though. He clutched his arm and looked at me. "Dammit Rias! What's your problem!" He asked me. "Hey! You're the one who's being a dick!" I screamed back at him. He tsked and spat. "So, apparently this is a war between ghouls and the CCG...must be tough.." He said while looking down. "Yeah...." I replied while looking. "So what do you plan on doing?" He asked me. "I don't know exactly...I want to go stop Kaneki...but at the same time I'm glad to see you again...I'm torn between two difficult choices.." I replied in a solemn tone. He put his other hand on my shoulder. "I'll go with you. You don't have to try and do everything alone." He smiled. We both jumped down and started to run toward the chaos. "Do you have any idea where he could be!?" He asked me. "No! But all I know is that we should head to the coffee shop!" We stopped as an army of CCG soldiers were blocking our way. The man in charge of them...I could remember seeing him but where? He lifted up his sword and pointed it at us. "Where do you think you're going...Spider?" I tsked. "So is that my official name? They're calling me the spider? How original!" I said in a sarcastic tone. "Hm. It's Crimson Spider if you must know, but that's not what's important. All you need to worry about is getting through me! I won't let you pass!!" He shouted. I sighed. "Please, you don't scare me in the slightest." He smirked. "Let's test that theory."

Kaneki POV -
I was walking around a garden of rose pedals and sun flowers. I had no clue where I was. All I knew as that I had taken down a few CCG members and saved two ghouls I knew. All I could do was walk confused and hope to find something of importance. But then, I saw him, the CCG's reaper...Arima. Why? Why would he be here. That's when I woke up to reality. I looked down to see piles of bodies covering the floor, the stench of death filled the room. I could only stand in shock as Arima turned to me with a cold glare. I shook in fear, because I knew..it was my turn.

Rias POV -
I blocked another one of the man's swings. This was child's play. He was barley standing while I kept up my posture. "You're some ghoul! But I won't give up- NO!!" He screamed. I turned to see a pile of rubble about to fall on some of his soldiers. I quickly destroyed it with my Kagune and then turned back around. "W-Why? Why would a ghoul protect humans...no way...I need to know!!" He was losing his mind clearly. "Hm? Spit it out!" I shouted. "Someone as elegant and generous as you...ARE YOU RIAS GREMORY!?" He asked me. I stood silent for a moment. I took off my mask and threw it to the ground. "If we're sharing names tell me yours." I said while untying my hair band. He watched in shock as my hair was let down like it was in the old days. "A-A-AMON!..." He stuttered out. I sighed and walked towards him. "Now are we gonna keep fighting or are you gonna let me through?" He stood motionless. "I'll take that as a yes. Vali!" I called for him. "Yes?" He replied. "Take care of things here, but leave Amon alive ok." He nodded and continued his destruction. I walked away while tearing my mask apart. Kaneki I'm coming. Just wait a little longer!

Issei POV -
I watched as the number of bodies went up. So many killings and suicides, I thought I was gonna go insane. I quickly ran backward away and ran bumped into someone. I slowly backed away and stared at the man in front of me. He was wearing a mask with a smile, a purple cloak, and had a tentacle with a mouth facing me. "W-What are you?" I choked out. Someone appeared behind me. "Nora? What should we do?" His partner asked. "Boosted-" I was cut off my a searing pain in my side.

Rias POV -
I grabbed my side in pain. One of those CCG members had gotten in a huge cut. I could only hope it would heal quickly. I limply walked to the coffee shop while panting crazily. My hand on the wall made prints of blood, showing the dark red coming from me. I coughed loudly and fell over. I got back up shaking. I covered my mouth and walked into the shop. I walked around looking for a first aid kit. I heard the coffee maker running and turned. "Pretty cold day huh? Never imagined it would snow in the middle of Autumn. Well then again you can't predict the future. Anyways, I made you a cup too. You look like you're frozen solid. Why don't you come sit and chat with me. After all it's been a long time since we've talked." I stared shocked and confused at the person standing behind me. I couldn't tell if my eyes were playing tricks from my insanity or if Tsukiyama was playing prank on me. I could only ask if he was who I thought he was. "I....Issei?" The light of the moon shined down on his face. He greeted me with a smile. "Yo...Rias?"

Kaneki POV -
I jumped back. Holding my chest I coughed up a large amount of blood. What the hell was he? He couldn't be human. He was way faster than possible. I quickly dashed to his left hoping to strike. He dodged me and cut my Kagune. I screamed in pain as I fell to the floor. Arima just stood there and fixed his glasses. I got up and looked for him. He completely disappeared in the span of a second. I lost all sight in my right eye and felt the worst pain I had ever felt. I grabbed it in pain and fell to my knees. I screamed loudly while he stabbed me again. I fell to the ground in pain while he stabbed out my other eye. The last words I heard him say were, "I'll need a new quinque". Rias I'm sorry...I guess I won't be coming back.

Rias POV -
I looked down at my cup and stared at my reflection. Issei put down his cup and looked out the window. "I still remember when you and I first met. You were so elegant, so graceful in everything you did. You were so generous to me and Asia. I'm sorry for being a burden. I caused you so much trouble didn't I. Heh, it's all my fault you're like this. But apologizing won't do anything now will it?" He said. I looked at him with my Kakugan still active. "Issei...please..this isn't you fault." I replied. "Nah it is. I tried to take everything on my own. Honestly I'm not surprised you didn't just kill me now." He said while taking another sip. I smiled. "Of course I wouldn't you idiot. You've made me the happiest girl ever dumbass. I mean all those memories we've made. That time when we helped out that weird Japanese chick." I said while finally drinking my coffee. "And that time we played dodgeball. Oh! What about that time when Asia got her familiar!" He said. I laughed. "You're so silly. You still remember that?" He nodded. "I remember everything. So Rias. Let me ask you..." He stood up putting his hands on the table. I stood up when I saw what had happened to him. "ISSEI!!" I caught him before he could fall. He hugged me as tightly as he could. "You wanna go home?" He asked while crying. I started to cry red tears. "Of course you idiot!!" I picked him up in a princess style and started to walk away.

No one's POV -
Arima and the CCG were regrouping all of their soldiers and preparing to celebrate victory. Sirzechs and the others watched as Arima put down the body of Kaneki and sat next to it. Akeno wiped her eyes while Xenovia comforted her. Arima looked up into the sky while it snowed. "So? Is this really the end of a long war?" He asked himself aloud. "It can't be. There's only change to come out of the deadest of such a strong ghoul." Marude replied. Arima looked back down at the figure standing feet away from them. "Shall I?" He stood up. "No wait!" Sirzechs shouted. "Please don't do anything! She's what we have been looking for!" Arima nodded and stood motionless. The figure was holding a body covered in a blanket while walking towards them.

The figure walked through the corpses and broken weapons of war. She walked past all of the glares and stare of shock. Nothing bothered her at this point. She was broken completely and unfixable. She tightly clutched the body in her hands and looked down. "I'm sorry." She said while letting her tears fall. Arima stared at the figure and fixed his glasses. Akeno stood up and began to shake as did the rest of them. Marude put a hand up to his ear. "This is the person Sirzechs and Issei were looking for. Do we take action?" He asked. "No, let's wait." His earbud replied. The blanket flew off the body and shocked everyone. Arima took a step forward. As she walked the helicopters flew high with a spotlight on her, as if they were pointing out the broken princess and the insecure joker. She smiled as she looked upon his smiling face and looked back at Arima. She stopped and gave Asia the body and walked back in front of Arima. As Asia healed 'the joker' she watched as her big sister stood in front of Arima with tears covering her face. Arima put away his quinque and looked at her. "So. Let me ask you. After all the pain and suffering, after all the hardships and trials, after watching what you care about fall. What have you learned. What knowledge have or could you have possibly gained? Did you change your perspective on life? Did you change your mindset? Were you affected in any way....Rias Gremory?" He asked. "Humans and Ghouls are no different. We are one and the same. We kill and take away from each other. No one is prefect, yet no one can be considered a 'Hero' or 'Innocent'. We will all eventually pay or perish for our sins. Wether that's losing something simple as a grade on a test or a loved one, it's a consequence. It's not wrong to be different, but it's wrong to do what you think is right. I'm not what's wrong...what's wrong is the way of this world..."

One year later

??? POV -
I paused my music and wrapped up my earbuds. Me and my squad got off of the bus and walked around the city. One of my squad asked me, "So why are we going to some stupid coffee shop?" I smiled. "Because we're going to see Sasaki!!" I skipped along. "Clearly someone is in love." Another said with a smirk. I stopped and gave him a glare. As we walked in I saw Sasaki reading a book like he always does. He put down his cup and closed his book. "Look who finally showed up." Saiko greeted me. I rubbed the back of my head and awkwardly laughed. "Yes, Yes..." Sasaki stood up. "Glad you could make it...Jūdai."
