After dinner Topanga, Riley and Maya were washing and cleaning the dishes and table. The whole time Maya had her eyes on Josh. There
was something about him that just made her stomach get butterflies every time someone mentioned his name or whenever he talked. Riley noticed quickly. Meanwhile Cory, Auggie, and Josh were on the couch talking about sports. After Riley and Maya were done Riley said, "Bay window, bay window right now," as she pulled Maya upstairs. "Do you like Josh?" Riley asked. "No," Maya said, "why would you say that?" "I see the way you look at him," Riley said. "He's apart of your family Riles and I love your family. Trust me I don't like Josh like that." Maya replied but inside Maya was hiding her true feelings and Riley knew. "Okay I believe you," said Riley. "You do know that he is staying with us for a couple of weeks until he starts college at NYU right?" Maya instantly froze. "He is?" "He's staying here?" asked Maya. "Yes, yes he is," Riley replied. "Okay," said Maya. Inside she was happy all over the place. She couldn't wait to spend time with Josh! "Even though he will probably think of me as a little kid," thought Maya to herself.
•••THE NEXT DAY•••
"Good Morning Matthews' Family!" said Maya as she opened the front door to the Matthews apartment. She was in a really happy mood. "Good morning Peaches," replied Riley. "Hey Maya," said Josh. "Hey Josh," Maya replied. Inside Maya's heart was melting. "You ready to go to school Auggie?" Topanga asked Auggie. "NO! I want to spend the day with uncle Joshie." Auggie said. "Hey how about I take you to school today Auggie and then when you come home we can hang out and do manly stuff." Josh told Auggie. "Sounds good!" Auggie replied. "Dang I wish I could hang out with Josh..." Maya thought to herself. "Ready to go to school Riles?" We have to meet Lucas and Farkle." said Maya. "Yeah let's go we better not keep them waiting," Riley said. "Lucas would wait for you all day Riles, since he's your BOYFRIEND." Maya said. "Whatever," said Riley as her cheeks turned bright red.
