Chapter 4

-Maya-
I sit down on the couch with her, expecting a long story. "First, I want to confess that you are not my fist child. I had a little girl named Sarah. When I had you and your twin, your father and I were in a big fight. We decided that divorcing was the best option for the both of us. I kept you and your father took Sarah and your twin, who was named Sabrina. We stayed in touch for a bit just so I could know what was going on with my kids, but he gave them up. I was really mad at him. In court, he said he wanted them, and then, he gave them up for adoption. I guess they were adopted and became famous. I didn't want to tell you yet because I thought you weren't ready yet. I'm sorry baby girl." I looked at her to see if she was lying, but I'm pretty sure she was telling the whole truth. "It's ok, I guess. But why did you think I wouldn't be ready to know?" "I wasn't sure how you were going to take it." I hugged her and she hugged back. "Thanks for finally telling me mom." "Your welcome." "I gotta go back to Riley's. I bet she has a whole lot of questions too." I say as I walk to the door. "See you later!" "Bye mom!" I wonder how Riley and the gang will take the news.
