Chapter 8

After Riley, Maya, and Sabrina explain everything, my parents go to talk to Katy to get an adult's version of the story. As Sabrina unpacks in our guest room, Maya and Riley sit at the Bay Window. "So what's the first thing we should do with Sabrina?" "How about we get to know each other? We can treat it like an interview so she's familiar with them." "Great idea!" "Thanks. Honestly, I thought that you'd be the one to come up with an idea." "Come on Maya! Stop giving urself barely any credit for what u do! You are a very smart, beautiful, confident young woman!" "Sorry Riles. I'm just not used to having hope."

Riley sighs and signals for Maya to scoot over. As she does, Riley hugs her and they lean their heads in each other. Sabrina comes in and asks if they are ok. They release from the hug and Maya says,"We're fine." Sabrina smiles slightly and sits on the right side of the Bay Window next to Maya. Riley looks at the two of them with an examining face. "How will I be able to tell who's who?" They sit there thinking of how to tell Maya and Sabrina apart. "I have an idea!" Maya and Sabrina look at Riley. "What is it?" They say at the same time. They look at each and do the exact same things. (Look at video at the top at 7:40 for an example) Riley looks at them, weirded out and shakes her head. "Anyway, I was thinking about you guys getting sister bracelets that says 'sisters' or something like that, each slightly different so we can tell." Sabrina nods, agreeing. Maya looks unsure and says, "We COULD do that. OR, we could get sister tattoos! Like the sun and the moon!" Riley's eyes widen and Sabrina violently shakes her head no. "As much as I'd love to try that out, I'd be in A LOT of trouble with my manager if she found out." Maya smirks. "Who says she needs to know?" Sabrina rolls her eyes saying no. Maya shrugs saying,"It was worth a shot."

After trying to decide on something for 10 minutes, Sabrina said that she'd get gold necklaces saying their names. They finally agreed and headed to a jewelry store.
