School had finally ended, and Hanji and I were walking to the car, Sean and Eren making some kind of bet. The limousine drives up and I open the door for Hanji. She hops in energetically and I get in after her. Sean sits himself next to me and Hanji and Eren sit across from us. The ride to our destination wasn't as entertaining as I thought it would be. Hanji repeatedly asked many questions, starting from where are we going to if you put a frog in the oven it'll explode. Once we arrived at our destination, I jumped out of the car running along the shore. The lack of people made it even better as I ran, pumping my arms faster and faster, willing my legs to do the same. I stop along the wall of rocks. I stand there, not at all winded by my mile run in the sand at full speed. The feeling of the sea mist brushing against my face gets my power all riled up, wanting to dance with magic, in its own dance. I am quick to kick off my shoes and cloths, my two piece black bathing suit hiding under the layers of cloth. My ears pick up the distant sound off everyone running towards me. I pay them no attention and jump straight into the water. The sand slips through my toes as I run on the sand heading farther and farther out into the water.
I dip my head into the water feeling the restlessness of my power, wanting to break free. After a few minutes of just sitting on the sand, I swim back up to shore. Hanji's face looks like she just saw a ghost. She runs out into the water towards me. I take the chance to see that she is also in her bathing suit, her hair down and her glasses left behind on the beach. I reach out to her once she gets close enough grabbing onto her as she launches herself at me. Hanoi being taller than me, brings me down into the water. When we resurface, she grabs me by the shoulders, shaking me roughly.
"Why didn't you tell me you could hold your breathe for that long! Sean kept saying you would be fine, but I was getting scared! And how can you run that fast?! It's not humanly possible!" Hanji yells into my face
I smile slightly at her concern for me. " Hanji, I have been swimming for a very long time. I can hold my breath up too ten minutes so please, don't freak out. I apologize for not telling you sooner." I say quietly. My smile vanishes as I realize that it really isn't normal for a human to run as fast as I did. My stoic face stays the same as Sean calls me back over to shore. I pat Hanji's arm lightly, walking around her and straight to shore. She stands still contemplating on what to do.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Hanji says catching up to me I chuckle softly and nod my head, I get to my backpack and grab my cloths. I make a new line straight to the public bathroom. Hanji stares almost in shock as I walk over to the bathrooms. Once around the building and out of her sight I sprint into the women's bathroom and throw myself into a stall. My hands rub my face, the dress still in my grasp. I throw the sun dress on and use the restroom, going to sink and rinsing my hands before going back outside to the shore. As I make my way down last our bags, I spot Sean, Hanji and Eren in the water. Hanji flailing her arms and Eren floats on his back. Sean walks out of the water and up to me.
"Be careful." He murmurs passing me to return to his belongings. I sit in the sand a few feet from the water splashing up on shore. The cheerfulness in the air takes up all the space and becomes a relaxing moment with all of us as I continue to watch my new friends.----------•
After dropping off Eren and Hanji back at there houses, Sean and I stay in silence as we get driven home. My eyes drooping in exhaustion and my brothers head is tipped back, his mouth open and small gasps of air flowing through. My eyes close on their own and my head tilts to the side, before I am completely asleep the door to the limo is open and the driver, Mark, is standing there peeking inside preparing to wake us. My head straightens and I look at Mark and nod at him in gratitude. I push Sean and watch as he falls on the seat. He wakes up snapping to attention his eyes still squinty and unfocused. I scoff and leave the limo, his grumbles and curses left behind to unopened ears. The oh-so-delightful smell of probably my Dad burning something comes to my attending as I step foot on the threshold.
"Dad!" I yell. I see him poke his head out from behind the wall to the kitchen and smile sheepishly at me. I keep my stoic face as he glances between me and Sean.
"Whatever, I'm going to sleep." Sean says lifting his hand in an almost dismissive wave. I don't even glacé in his direction my gaze locked on my dads.
"What did you do now?" I whine my stoic face breaks as I close my eyes and whine.
"Nothing Dragâ." He says, his smile is soothing as his eyes soften. (Sweetheart) "Get to bed, you look worn out." He disappears behind the wall waking back around after I'm guessing taking of his apron. He wraps his arms around my small frame and rocks me slightly.
" Noapte Bunâ, Dragâ." He whispers into my hair. (Goodnight, sweetheart.)
"Noapte Bunâ." I whisper back. (Goodnight) My arms wrapped tightly around his back I let go and put away.I return to my room to find my school bag on my desk. I sigh in relief and take a quick shower and then change into my pajamas and I flop down onto my waterbed and shuffle under the covers, falling asleep immediately.
