We approach this staircase of what looks like millions of steps (I later found out that it was only 163 steps).
"Ready for a hike?" Caleb asks us.
"No." Complained Izzy and Francis.
"Hey! We are here to experience the outside world. If this Pike Place Market is what Caleb says it is, then we only get to experience it once before we move on to our new lives. So suck it up buttercups!" Brayden said.
"Exactly." Eli blurts out.
I start walking up the first few steps. Everyone follows me except for Caleb, who is trying to keep up with me, probably trying to lead the way. I pick up my pace, seeing if he would follow.
"Wait...a...minute." I hear an out of breathe Caleb behind me. I stop about halfway up, waiting for Caleb to catch up.
"Took you long enough." I say to Caleb when he reaches me.
"You....you are... you have very....good...endurance."
"Yeah. Your dad makes us work out."
"No he doesn't." Cassie says, sounding sarcasticly.
"Anyways, we aren't stuck behind a computer all day."
"Im....it's not all day. 7 hours on the computer is all I get."
"Plus the time playing video games."
"How did you....!?" Caleb shrieked.
"We can tell just by your endurance..." I explain.
"And some guessing." Jacob adds. We all smile. Caleb is probably thinking that we are super humans and we can see the past and future.
"The drugs must be going to your minds or something. Creating a race of superhumans."
"Just because we are basically flawless, doesn't mean we can read minds."
"Well..." Hayden adds. "I could tell the future."
"No you can't." Eli adds. Hayden continues to walk up the stairs, pretending that didn't happen.
