Kinda based off the song No by Mehgan Trainor.

(Name) (last name) was popular in Haikyuu University.
So of course, being the sweet, always positive and cute popular student was hard.
But she was secretly a badass, judging everybody for every little thing in her mind.
Confessions here and there, but she always politely said no.
And she didn't care at first. Sure, it got in the way of her work sometimes, but she couldn't tell boys "no" when they asked to talk to her.It was all fine, until her brother, Sawamura Daichi, invited her to go watch his volleyball practice. Really, he just needed a ride. But watching wouldn't hurt right?
So she did. And it became a regular routine.
And she regretted that terribly.
The boys there, were such terrible flirts.
Well, being honest, that was a lie. They were good looking yes, but they shamelessly flirted with her constantly. Of course, being the good older brother he is, Daichi protected her.
But being used to their antics, he just let it slide.

(Name) was little miss perfect. But one day, Oikawa Tooru discovered she was cold sometimes.
(Name) was handing out water bottles, and from the corner of her eye she could see Oikawa trying to persuade 'Iwa-chan' to talk to her. Discreetly rolling her eyes, she continued her job.
Walking towards Iwaizumi, she handed him a waterbottle. He didn't say anything, so she figured he didn't have the courage.
As harsh as it seemed, that was good. He wouldn't be part of her rejected squad.
But Oikawa took this as an opportunity to show Iwaizumi how its done.
"Hey (name)-chan?" He greeted, with a mischievous smile. The rest of the team was listening intently to the conversation.
"Yes?"
"Can I get your number?"
Bokuto choked on his water, causing Kuroo to pat his back. Daichi face palmed and Oikawa waited for the answer.
It was so silent, you could hear a pin drop. He was beginning to think she didn't hear him, so he began to speak again.
"...so can I have your--" He was cut off by her.
"I heard you."
"And your answer?"
"No." She said, her face unreadable.
The boys laughed at his face, jaw dropping.
"If you keep your mouth open like that you might catch bugs, Oikawa-san." (Name) stayed coldly, proceeding to walk away.
"ROASTEDDDD!" Bokuto screeched.
"GET REJECTEEEDDDDD!!" Kuroo howled with laughter.
Oikawa pouted. Who knew she was so cold rejecting people?

It was just another day. (Name) was on the bus with Haikyuu University's men volleyball team. Eating her snacks, she didn't care when Kuroo came to join her. Sharing the chips, he broke the silence.
"Hey (name)?"
"Hmm?"
"You're beautiful."
(Name) didn't even flinch.
"Why thank you Kuroo." (Name) learned how to cope with their constant compliments, long forgetting to be polite around them.
As much as she liked them, it got really annoying.Kuroo sighed, catching her attention. He really did sound convincing with the sigh. Going for the pity vote now? Well that won't work either.
"I mean it. You're different from other girls."
Well, true. But that's what you say to any other girl too.
"And you're perfect. I don't deserve you, but you make me incredibly happy."
At this point, everybodys probably listening. Might as well have fun with this.
Kuroo went on and on, and being honest it was boring (name).
"So, yes. I'd really like to have one date. Won't you give me a chance babygirl?"
Babygirl? Jeez is he trying to creep me out here? That ain't my weakness boi.
"No. I'll admit, you're pretty good. But I've heard those words so many times that it just isn't special anymore. Besides, I heard you saying those words to (random girl) a week ago." (Name) didn't spare him a glance as she took the chips and swiftly sat down beside her brother. She could hear the boys snickering at how his efforts were rejected.
Kuroo was left with a pale face, pondering over how she knew about his meaningless confession to that girl.
Victory again for (name).

Being Daichi's little sister caused (name) to become an all-round volleyball player. She never thought about making it a career since she was only decent, but she was good enough to set for Bokuto after practice sometimes.
It just happened to be one of those days.
They had the cliche scene like in a movie, where their hands meet.
"Ah! Sorry." He blushed and moved away.
Not even batting an eyelash, (name) proceeded to pick up the volleyball and toss it into the cart.
"Say, (name)?"
"Yes?"
"So... I was wondering... A dance is coming up and..."
This was getting annoying for her. Couldn't he just spit it out already?
"And?..."
"Would you... Like to be my date to the dance?" He asked hopefully, finally making eye contact.
(Name) almost smiled.
Almost.
"Sorry, I don't like people's hands all over me. And I don't dance. So no." She answered truthfully, giving him an apologetic look - only because she didn't feel like dealing with his emo mode.
"I'm sure (random girl) will go with you though."
He visibly brightened up and she walked out the gym without another word.
~
Yes, maybe she was harsh. But none of the boys cried or were heartbroken, so it was truthfully okay. Besides, her heart was reserved for one. And that one would be the one she would date.
