Superimpose

So I'm guessing by now you've either gotten the hang of superimpose on your own, or your totally clueless.
Either of which is fine.
So, when you make a cover, always try to start off with a white background.
This will help with when you edit further layers. And it helps with sizing.
To get the white colour, press the two overlapping rectangles in the upper left hand corner.

Something like this should pop up.
Keep in mind I'm doing this on a iPhone, so it may look different on an iPad, I don't know.
Next choose pick colour, the last out of the three options.

Move the small cursor on the colour scheme to anywhere along the very top, this way you'll get the cleanest white possible

On the bottom of the screen, you might notice the different numbers,
These are constraints.
Choosing the 2:3 constraint, (highlighted in blue in the previous picture) will give you the correct measurement for Wattpad covers.

now that you have your white base,
You can import your proper background, or just a foreground.

press merge and the picture will turn into one picture with the white background. Make sure it's where you want it because you can't move it afterward. Because it's just on a white background, you don't need to save it beforehand, but if you have a complicated design that you've put a lot of work into, and your not sure you'll like what the next step will look like, I recommend saving it to your camera roll before moving on. Like so,

(Press the rectangle with the arrow coming out) press "Photos" under export destination

(Press the rectangle with the arrow coming out) press "Photos" under export destination. This way you can come back to the original design if you mess up.
For your foreground, I now also lean towards using transparent pngs, (pictures without backgrounds)
This helps make cover design nicer, cleaner and easier.
(To find said transparent pngs, just type in the kind of picture/person you want + transparent png/ png/ transparent. Anyone will do, but results may vary with different search titles)
Now you now the basics of foregrounds and backgrounds! Next time I'll tell your about the masking tab!
For now though, fool around with it and try to understand what it is, so next chapter it'll be easier for you to understand.
Thanks for reading ^-^
