Three Years

It's been three years since I met Jason. He was the new kid everyone was talking about. He sat in the back of the classroom, looking down and away from everyone else. He seemed kind of peculiar to me.
Right in the midst of my staring in curiosity, he looked over at me. I didn't know what to do, so I just looked away. Every so often, I would throw a glance back at him to see that he was still staring at me.
Finally, the bell rang (Thank God). I left the room as quickly as possible. I grabbed my bag from my locker, quickly threw my homework inside, and left. About two blocks from the school, I realized that I was being followed. I walked a bit faster. I reached my apartment a couple minutes later, the guy still following me.
When I walked onto the porch of the building, the guy was right behind me. Finally, not able to stand it anymore, I turned around to face him. It was the guy from class.
"Why are you following me?" I asked.
     Silence.
"I asked you a question." I said, raising my voice.
     "...I live here." He replied.
"Don't lie to me. There were no open apartments for you to rent." I said angrily.
"I live with the owner of the building." He said.
"Mr. Johnson? Why would you be living with him?" I asked.
     "He's my father." He answered.
     "You're his son?" I asked.
"Well if he's my father, then yes. That would make me his son." He said with a small smirk.
      I frowned.
"Why have I never seen you before then?" I asked.
"You really are a nosey little twerp, aren't you?" He said as he pushed past me.
"Hey," I yelled. "You never answered my question!"
"I didn't answer, because it's none of your business, twerp." He said as he walked up the stairs.
"I have a name you know..." I said, annoyed.
"Don't care. You're twerp from now on." He said, a smile obvious in his voice.
That was the first time I talked to Jason. It certainly wasn't the last.
