Face to face, eyes locked on eachother. I back away.
One step.
You say "don't". No sound comes out.
Two steps.
Tears start falling down your face as you watch on.
Three steps.
You reach out.
Four steps.
"please" you plead. I still hear silence.
Five steps.
Our eyes still locked I take another step.
Six steps.
"I'm sorry" you mouth, crumbling to your knees.
Seven steps.
I want to pick you up, to hug you tight and tell you it's alright.
Eight steps.
My tears feel endless now.
Nine steps.
How do we come back from this? I wish we could turn back from this.
Ten steps.
It's too late now. I'm gone. It's over. I pushed you away.
