It'd been two weeks since I'd seen Zayn because of how much I'd been working lately. I was trying to save money up because I was planning on moving into an apartment with Normani and Dinah. We had our eyes on a few places, but we just needed to get our money right.

Me [8:32pm]: I know it's late, but it's the earliest I've gotten out this week. I know that you're not feeling the greatest, but do you want to hang?(:

My soulmate Zayn [8:35pm]: I'm feeling much better than I was yesterday . Here's my address . I'll leave the door unlocked . xX

He sent the address after that text. I plugged it into my gps, and headed out. I couldn't wait to see him. I stopped by one of those healthy juice shops to get Zayn a green drink that had all these healthy additives that will help boost his immune system. I've never tasted one myself, but I heard they work.

When I got to his apartment, I took the elevator up to the third floor. I didn't want to take the stairs because then I'd be out of breath by the time I got up there, and I didn't want that to be the case.

While I made my way down the hall on the grey carpet, I started thinking about what the inside of Zayn's apartment looked like. He lives alone. I'm sure it's usually not the most tidy place, because he is a guy afterall.

I stopped in front of 3J and had my fist balled up and ready to knock, but then remembered that he told me it'd be unlocked. I took a breath and twisted the brass doorknob. The comforting scent of Zayn's cologne filled the air. His apartment wasn't a mess. It was actually very clean, and organized. It was very spacious. He had a wooden desk, that had a picture of his family when he was younger on it. He had framed graffiti pictures, and other artwork hung up on his walls. I heard a cough which startled me. I looked to my left, and saw Zayn standing there in the hallway that I'm assuming led to another room.

"Lauren, it's great to see you." He approached me with arms outstretched and in search of a hug. It was a hesitant hug. I felt like he was going toward my lips for a second. He and I only kissed one time, and it's when we were in the photo booth at Mrs. Myer's charity ball. I glanced down at my wrist, remembering that night. It took a full week for the bruise to go through its transitions, before completely fading away.

"What do you have here?" He gestured to the clear plastic cup full of clumpy green liquid. "This is supposed to help your immune system. I know that you said you're feeling better, but this could possibly help demolish that last hint of blah you may be feeling." Zayn made a face as I handed the drink to him. He smelled it and suddenly looked seasick.

"I'd better kiss you before I drink this then, huh?" I looked up at him as if I was having a difficult time understanding what he had just said. He placed the drink down on the marble coffee table, and took a step closer to me. I could feel my breath catch in my throat. Zayn licked his lips as he anticipated the warm, pillow-like feeling of mine.

"Or, I could leave you relishing in the feeling of what my lips felt like," I teased. I placed my car keys on his suede sofa. I could feel Zayn's eyes burning into me as I made my over to the couch.

"Now why would you do that? That's not very nice now, is it?" I turned and shrugged, throwing my arms up in the air. "I don't want to get sick," I lied.
"You're not going to catch anything. I'm not contagious." I laughed at that. I patted the spot beside me. Zayn sat down.

"Enough of you being a tease. How was work?" He took a sip from the green drink. I expected him to look repulsed, and on the verge of yacking, but he seemed fine. He was actually enjoying it. "It was fine," I shrugged.

"There aren't any schmucks with accents and tattoos coming in trying to make a move, right?" I laughed, shaking my head. "Not that I've noticed. It's been like every other time, just more hours. I really want to move out with Dinah and Normani already. We've seen a few nice places, but by the time we get our money right, they'll probably all be gone. We asked the landlord of one place to just give us two more weeks."
