A RABBIT!

Now, most lions wouldn't get this excited about a small rabbit. I on the other hand, need all the hunting practice I can get.

So here I am, creeping through the tall grass, making my way towards a grey rabbit sitting on a rock.

Just a little further......

Not yet.....

NOW!!!!

I leap for the rabbit, thinking I'm about to catch my first ever prey.

Boy, was I wrong. Instead I come colliding with a cub I've never seen before. And, to my disappointment, the rabbit escaped. Wonderful.

"What's the big idea!?" I snarled, standing and shaking out my fur. "I was just about-"

I stopped in the middle of my sentence when I got a good look at the cub. He was kinda grey, like me, and had darker rims around his bright red eyes. He looked like an idiot, but somehow my heart skipped a beat.

"Sorry about that!" The cub stood and rubbed his head, looking embarrassed. He gave me a big goofy smile
"The name's Nuka! Who are you?"

"I'm Uzuri," I replied, then smiled. He didn't seem too bad

"Princess Uzuri?" Nuka's eyes widened in surprise "Woah! I miss my catch but meet royalty! Talk about luck."

I rolled my eyes in amusement. What was this guy? "Come on, I'm not that special."

"You're a princess, most graceful of the guard, and beautiful." Nuka said, now it was his turn to roll his eyes. "If you ask me, your pretty special."

Hold up.

"Did-- did you just call me beautiful?" I asked, shocked.

"Well yeah," Nuka smiled again, this time it seemed more flattering. "You are beautiful."

"Oh um, thanks!" I said, face heating up. "You're pretty cute too."

I already regret saying this

"Well that's nice of you to say." Nuka purred

He purred at me

Heart

Melting

Stop

Before I could say anything stupid, he spoke up again

"Seems like it's getting pretty late," I looked up at the sky, and realized that the sun was already setting.

"Well, I guess that means I should get back," to be honest, I was actually disappointed. I didn't really know why.

"I should be leaving too." Nuka said "I'll see you around princess." he winked at me before spinning around and trotting away.

I waited until he was out of earshot before I started squealing

And thus, my first ever crush was formed.
