.......
Nuka's POV
--------

"Claws out! Teeth bared!"

I sighed as i followed my mother's instructions, showing my teeth and unsheathing my claws.

"Duck! Roll! Claw! Kick!" Zira snapped orders, and I quickly responded. This was a normal day. Battle training. It was so boring! Other cubs are out playing right now or learning how to hunt.

I guess I'm not a cub anymore though. In the Outlands, I'm practically a young adult, even though I'm only 14. Life really sucks here. My mom doesn't make it any better

"Faster Nuka, faster! How will you protect Kovu like this?" Zira glared at me. "You yourself are a prince! You must be fast, strong, smart. Quit daydreaming and follow orders!"

Yep. That's all I hear all day. Unless I'm listening to rules or stories about my father, Scar. Let's not forget Kovu. The perfect child. Ugh, please. I've seen him sneak away to see that little princess. I only don't tell because I secretly care about the little termite.

"I'm not getting anything out of you right now," Zira snarled, putting her face in her paws "Your done for today. Go hang out with Vitani or something." she gave him a small glance before walking past him, her claws clicking on the rock hard ground

"Well at least there's no more training," I sighed. I made my way in the other direction. I wasn't alone for long when the lionesses started making their way towards me.

"She over train you again?" said the nearest one in cooing voice

"Poor little Nuka," added another one, with a much darker pelt and green eyes. "and you're so filthy too."

"Let us clean you up," the third light tan one brought me over with her paws

"Wait hold on I--!" I started to defend myself, but was quickly shut up by her tongue rasping over my head, the others soon joining in. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

........

Well that was awful

I slumped over to a rock, leaping on it and started to fix my semi grown mane. As I did I looked over the Pridelands. It was lush and green, full of life. While the Outlands were barren and dead.

"This life sucks!" I snarled "I wish I could just leave!"

And that's when it popped into my head. Why not leave. I looked over the Pridelands as I began to sing.

(You start the song like, right here.)

Far from here is where I want to be
Somewhere out there, loose and running!
I leaped down and thought of my life
Nobody's laws to hold me
Nobody's hugs to crush me!
Nobody's tongue and scratchy claws
to bathe and brush meeeeee!
I began running down the slope at a fast pace, thinking of an exciting new life

A world without fences!
Where I can run freeee!
And be with real lions
Who'll bring the real lion out in me!
I found myself coming to a filthy river a leaped over it, my mane catching the wind
No walls and no boundaries
Where I can be free!

A world without walls and fences, that's exactly WHERE I WANT TO BEEEEE!
I kept running until a came face to face with a rock covered in claw marks, most likely from my mother. I grimaced
This cub just won't hate his life away
In some waste land, like his Mother!
Too many bones to chew up
Too many smells to sample
Too many fancy flower beds
To rip and trample!
I jumped over the rock and kept running
No rules to control me!
Stop what I want to beee!

A world without fences
That's the world I want for mee!
I stopped at the border and turned to face the Outlands, head high.
No rules, no responsibility.
On my own, completely free
A WORLD WITHOUT FENCEEEEEEEESSSS!! FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
"Who hoo!" I exclaimed "So long all Outlands! I'm a Pridelander now!" I turned and shot over the border, landing in the grass and kept running.

New life, here I come!
