My empty heart broken where I stand,
As I hold dusty memories in my clenched hand,
The good ol' days with you and me,
But since I left you,
I feel like I can't breath. The nights of which we gazed upon the curiosity-inducing sky,
The emotional days where all we could do was cry,
The lie I told when I said I was fine,
But like always darling,
You looked right through me.You looked through my eyes and landed upon my soul,
Gazed upon my failures and insecurities,
But to heal my shattered heart was your goal,
To fix all the vulnerabilities. But like all the Greats,
You grew tired,
And I knew it true,
So to my despair,
I started being untruthful to you.I decided to shut the floodgates of my tears to protect you from drowning,
I faked smiles more often,
And they grew more convincing. The only reason you left was because you thought I was okay,
When in reality,
I'm weary and grey,
I feel burnt out and used like cigarette buds in a tray.So I leave you this note,
As a final goodbye,
I'll find someway to float,
In the tears that I cried.
