"I know, but he probably thinks that I am a good-for-nothing couch potato who lays around and eats snacks!" She cried through the phone. To be honest, I could care less about her crush problems, but as her best friend, I guess it was my duty to listen.
"Oh no," I said boredly, throwing my plush basketball in the air and catching it, "Why don't you just tell him you aren't one?"
After a moment of silence, she laughed, but I could tell that it was still eating her up inside, "You are horrible at giving advice, Connie... Just tell me straight up, do you think I have a chance with Jean?"
I let out a long and exasperated sigh. I honestly don't know what had me so annoyed about this, but I knew one thing for sure. My girl best friend had a crush on my dude best friend, and left me in the middle as the "Advice-Guru."
"I don't know, maybe? To be honest, Sashi, I think Jean has the hots for Marco," I said honestly. But, since I am such a great friend and I didn't want to hear her cry, I continued, "But, I mean once you tell him you're interested and stuff, maybe he'll change his mind?"
"You really think so?" She sniffled into the phone, "I just don't want him to think that I am some weirdo who just sits around and eats!"
"I don't think that way..." I mumbled, but fixed myself quickly, "Since Jean is a close friend, he won't either. You just gotta tell him your feelings, Sash."
"I guess I'd rate your advice a five out of ten, you saved yourself at the end," she chuckled, "But, since you are so dear to me, can you possibly tell Jean for me?"
I absentmindedly growled, holding the phone with a bit of a tighter grip, "Do I have to? I think it'd be a bit awkward..."
"Why?" She asked, sounding almost as cute and naive as possible.
Because I don't want Jean to have you for himself...
"Cause it's your feelings, ya'know? You should be the one to take action. If you're truly scared, write it down or something," I said, throwing the plush basketball across the room and into the hoop.
There was a moment of silence, before she finally said something, "Connie, I'm scared... I'm scared of rejection."
I'm scared of acceptance...
"Fine Sash, I'll tell him for you... But only because you sound like a scared child over the phone right now," I laughed.
"Thank you Springles, I owe you one! Hey, can you maybe tell him today? Kind of as soon as possible? You know, before the party up at Ymir's?" Sasha asked.
"Yeah... Of course," I smiled a fake smile, which she obviously couldn't see over the phone.
"Thanks you~" She hung up, and my talk with her was over.
If it wasn't obvious enough, I think I have the hots for Sasha, who has the hots for one of my best friends. It kind of hurts, but ya'know.
Whatever will make her happy~

[AN] ~ I've decided that I was going to write a short story for one of my OTP's in Attack on Titan!
I don't know about you, but I am definitely in love with Springles! There weren't that many stories, (ya'know, compared to the Ereri), so I decided that I'd make one for this cute duo!
The chapters are most likely going to be short, but you shouldn't worry about that since I'm posting this all at once!
Make sure to tell me your opinions in the comments and don't be afraid to vote!
