Eascaping Amity

I'm done with this, being born amity is like being born with a bunch of happy go lucky, nothing's wrong people, in a town which is just the same. The always smile, The never worry about anything, it makes me sick to my stomach. My names Rose Hannakin, I live in Amity with my younger brother Max and my mom. My dad died when I was young, my mom told me he died of a sickness and I never really questioned her.

"Rose Hannakin this is your fourth time you have made a disruption in this compound." I rolled my eyes because technically this is isn't the fourth time, it's just the fourth time I got caught. "We are forced once again to use the peace serum on you, and the next time this may happen again could result in being factionless." I stop all the funny business right their, the word factionless send shivers down my spine. I had to try to remind myself that in two days you can get out of this terrible place, two days and I can choose what ever place I want to go to. "As you know I inject this, bla bla bla, your happy for a few ours you know the rest, just please Rise try to stay out of trouble.

She takes out the needle and injects it into a spot into my neck, it doesn't hurt anymore given the fact that I've had it done four times now. I feel sick to my stomach and the urge to smile and giggle. I make my way to the cafeteria feeling tipsy like I'm drunk, everyone staring at me like I'm a lunatic, and my friend Denise walks over. "Oh no Rose, not again what did you do this time?" She exclaims. "I don't know what you talking about." I say while holding a giant grin on my face. She holds her face in her hands and shakes her head back in fourth. She then grabs my arm and tugs me forward our lunch table.

"I cant believe this is your fourth time, you know one more and your out!! What were you thinking." Denise says but I can tell she's worried about me.

"I was thinking two more days and I'm out of here."

She laughs at my statement. "never did understand you Hannakin, I laugh too. "At least tomorrow I'll get to see were I really belong." I say with a little bit of attitude. "Which is were?" She questions. "I was thinking Abnegation or Erudite, it all depends on tomorrow.

I'm lead from the cafeteria to a hallway which contains ten rooms, Denise is called after me, I'm lead into room number four and as in enter the room I feel a sigh of relief. I sit down on which looks like a dentist chair but with more machines hooking up. the only other person there is the person who will be giving my test, she was a lady from Candor.

"Rose." she says

"And you might be." I question

"Kelly, are you nervous?"

"No" Was all I said trying to sound brave."I can tell your lying" Kelly answers. And with that she takes the needle out of the box. "This isn't goi-." I cut her off "I know it's not going to hurt, I've had the peace serum."

"All right let's begin,just drink this and the rest will go from there." I try to smile and then grab the blue liquid and chug it down.

I can feel myself drift off, its almost like a sleep, but I feel likes it deeper than sleep. I open my eyes and as an image begins to appear I can see a table in a blank room much like the cafeteria on the table there are two baskets, not empty but each has a different item, cheese and a knife. Something tells me grab the cheese, Amity's don't use knifes, but I'm not Amity, I never will be Amity. I stand there unsure of myself at first and I hear a voice, "Choose." It was a voice much of an old lady. There was no one there but I feel as though everyone is watching me,

I grab the knife and find the way it is most comfortable in my hand and hold it steady. I feel the power of holding the knife through me, I enjoy this feeling.
