Finally, third hour, History. My favorite subject I thought.

I get to hang out with Casey all hour and we could laugh and gawk at all the cute guys in the class. We'd always been best friends. We always hung out on weekends. We even went on vacation with each other last year to California. I could tell her anything and she would do the same. She was my shoulder to cry on. She was always the 'advice giver'.

One day, Casey wasn't at school. It felt so different without her. So lonely. But I managed to get through it. I had other friends in that class too. Like Alex Constancio and Adelyn King. So I turned around to talk to Alex when the teacher started yelling at some kid. Everyone jolted their heads in the teacher's direction.

"Listen now Austin, you have almost no homework turned in and the quarter's almost over" she complained

"I don't need you to tell me what to do if that's what you're leading up to," he sassed, "I already get enough of that everywhere else." He ignored her and picked at his nails. She walked back to her desk and she pulled him with her. As he walked past me he looked at me with sad-like eyes. It was Austin. The boy I'd had a gigantic crush on since 8th grade. I blushed and looked away.

All of a sudded this boy reminded me of all the feelings I had for him. He used to text me and sit next to me at lunch. Then he stopped talking to me. And he was never a bad student so how had he had so little homework turned in? I felt extremely confused yet curious. I used to know him like the back of my hand. I wanted that again. The question was, did he?
