Soon enough everyone was calm again and the teacher was continuing to talk with Austin. I couldn't help but listen. I wanted to know what had happened since 8th grade that made him change from goody-two-shoes to kinda bad-ass.

"You know what, Austin? I think it would be better for you to switch seats. You are going to sit next to... Allison now." she said

My head shot around. Was she serously going to move Austin next to me? I was half excited but the other half was confused and a bit mad. Thats usually where Casey sits.

"Okay. Whatever." Austin said. He smirked at me and moved his books and all his other stuff to the desk to my left. I guess I was looking at him with a mad expression because he looked at me funny.

"What the hell's wrong with you?"

"None of your business."

"Hah whatever. Look Allison, I'm kinda behind on work. Could you help me out?"

"Why should I?"

"Come on you know you wanna help me. You can't resist me" he laughed. I wasn't very amused. He was tormenting me. He knew I still had feelings for him.

"Whatever you say, Austin... Whatever you say." I said matter-of-factly

"You look pretty" I could tell he was trying to get under my skin. He didn't like me, he just wanted to get my homework. I was determined to not let that happen. But it was killing me inside. How could someone so sweet turn into such a concieted, narcasistic, mysterious, rough guy.

"Please Austin. Give it up."

"No, you really do. I was just trying to be nice"

I was pissed off now so I ignored him the rest of the hour. He was still at least a little bit similar to what he used to be... I kinda miss the old Austin. But the more I thought about it, the more I was interested in him. He was mysterious and I liked that.
