A nuisance of a noise awoke me, otherwise known as, my alarm. See now I don't have a problem with waking up this early in the morning. It's just that I know I'm going to the worst place on earth which makes me irritable. As I head downstairs, I hear the rain against the windows and some wind outside but I just listen to the sounds that are created, they seem to calm my nerves.

I had my bowl of cereal and was already off to the bathroom. After combing through my messy hair, brushing my teeth, and picking an outfit to wear, I was ready to leave even though I was to nervous to go.

I grab my backpack I had gotten ready, a jacket and an umbrella. Along with stuffing my phone into my pocket, I grab earbuds too. Now it was time to leave according to what time mom told me the bus would be here by, which was 7am, the new time I'll grow to hate.

I step out the door and quickly open the umbrella to stay dry. Then I make my way down the path through the front yard, and get to the side of the road. After walking to the end of my street, I find myself on a corner with a stop sign. Waiting felt like forever even though it may have been around 6 minutes.

I see the bus and I get the tingly feeling in my stomach. You know? the one that makes you just wanna leave what your doing because it feels so wrong. Yeah, that one.

The bus stops a few feet away from me and I step on to see a barely full bus. Only a few people were on, which really lifts a weight off of me. I sit in a seat near the back of the bus and watch as we pick more and more people up. So far I'm still in my seat alone until we come to a familiar stop.

"Do I remember this stop? Haven't I passed this house up like, a hundred times?" I thought while keeping an eye out for who lived there. Then it hit me like a train, it was his house. Carter Reynolds, he'd be the leader of the little group they have, he's always in front. you'd think he's the schools bad boy but it's not like that. He's a smart guy I'll give him that but he plays this game where he's an angel in front of teachers but a devil when it comes to me. Only 1 or 2 adults  in the entire school know his game and it's the people who come break up the fist fights. They aren't considered teachers.

He stepped onto the bus and was followed by his other two friends Jack gilinsky, who used to always flash this billion dollar smile and was so innocent-looking back then, has now evolved into what is known as a fuckboy and then there's.. Nash. Wow.

Now see, Nash doesn't seem like the type to hurt anyone, but he has. He's had his fair share in hitting me but it looks as if he regrets it before he even lifts his arm. He tends to try and stay away from the others as they beat me up.

Our eyes meet and I'm wondering if he's going to sit next to me. As the three boys make their way to the back of the bus, I look down to hopefully avoid them. After hearing somebody sit next to me, I look to be faced by Jack.
He winked at me.
"Miss me?" He smirked.
I roll my eyes but stay quiet.
"Hey bitch-" Nash cut him off.
"Bro, let me sit there"

He gestured for him to switch seats and he got up just to do that. I felt my face becoming warm and most likely red, so I look down to gaze at my lap. Occasionally
I saw him looking at me from the corner of my eye and mustered up the courage to ask my question.
"Why are you staring?"

Without hesitation he simply answered back.
"No reason" he said.
"Well stop"

He placed a ripped-off tiny piece of paper that was folded over, into my lap and watched me open it up.
"He just gave me his number?.. Why? What would he want from me?"
He shrugged his shoulders when I looked at him. I've never had this happen to me, what's a good response to having a guy who's punched you before, give you his number?

I put the piece of paper in my pocket and gave the smallest of smiles.

"Relax a little, don't be so tense around me ok?" He whispered to me.
"If I'm being honest, I'm a little intimidated by you when your with..them"

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you ever again. It's just, the guys would think I'm a wuss but I'm trying to convince them to leave you alone. It's not easy" he said.

I took a deep breath in and let it out slowly as the bus stopped in front of the school. We got up and stepped off the bus in a messy formation of people pushing each other.

Once I got off, I speed walked through the entrance and stopped at my locker. I took the opportunity to practice opening my locker and to look at my schedule.
