Skye stepped outside, ready to walk home. She didn't know why she decided not to get a ride with Logan. It was raining.
The trial was hard that day, and she proved her client innocent of the murder of Oliver Bleu, the adopted brother of the detective Skye had gotten to know, Collin Bleu. Collin was there for the trial, she knew, but he was nowhere to be seen afterward. The defense attorney had no idea.
The courthouse looked very dreary in the weather, maybe a little poetic. Quiet thunder rumbled in the distance, and Skye remembered she had to move quickly, before she got soaked. She had to get to her apartment before the thunderstorm came closer.
Skye walked briskly, and as she turned the corner, something caught her eye.
A man with blue hair stood in the middle of the sidewalk. It was Collin.
Skye remembered that the detective had left the courthouse as soon as the trial was over. She stayed talking to Logan and her client for around 20 minutes. So that meant he stood out in the rain for that long. His hair was dripping, his suit was soaked, and he didn't have a coat with him.
She took a few steps closer and, she could tell, he was crying.
"C-Collin?"
The man turned to look at her, a very saddened look on his face. Skye felt her heart shatter. It was so different from the man who was always stuttering and blushing, but being loud and on the job. Tears fell from his cheeks once again. She felt her expression grow more concerned as the wind blew, a hint of the storm coming closer.
"Do you live around here?" Her voice was gentle.
Collin nodded quietly, using his already wet sleeve to wipe his eyes.
"Come on. I'll walk with you home."
Yay, another sad drawing for you all! It hurts me to see my cinnamon roll (Collin) so sad... I think it turned out okay in the end, i guess. I like how Skye's hair turned out, though. And the tears, it's a new way to draw them for me.
Both Skye and Collin belong to me.
I wrote the little story as some dialogue for it, I figured it would shape the mood of it a little better, so to say.
