Ah, Monday. The worst day to be in a hurry. I was already in a hurry after waking up late. Probably shouldn't have stayed up catching up with 'Purple is The New Blue'. Lesson learned."Hehe, stop it Jackson, we're in school." I giggled to myself. All of a sudden, what seemed like reality began to fade away. "It was a dream?? Darnit Jacky-poo.." I thought to myself as I rose from my bed, releasing a yawn and stretching. Not knowing what time it was, I laid back down for a few more minutes, or what was supposed to be a few minutes anyway. I rose once again and looked at the clock for the first time today. "Oh, 9:20 a.m... 9:20, 9:20." I said as I yawned and rubbed my eyes. I repeated the time over and over, until it finally clicked. "9:20!!" I yelled as I sprinted out of my bed, nearly tripping over my covers and my own feet.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no!" I thought as I ran down my hallway, pulling my hair out of a ponytail. I knocked on my brother and sister's doors. "Come on! Get up!" I yelled through the door. I grabbed my clothes and ran back into my room. I nearly ripped my sleep wear as I struggled to change. I quickly slipped on my shirt, hoodie, and then my skinny jeans, then put on my converse highs. I quickly ran into the bathroom, but my sister, Melody, was already in there, running a brush through her jet black hair. She looked at me with her innocent chocolate eyes and waved with a smile. "Ah, goodmor-" "Crap!" I interrupted as I started my running spree again, leaving her with a confused expression. "Kyle, can I use your bathroom?" I quickly asked as I slid to a stop at his door. "Yeah sure." He replied in a tired tone. "Why're you still in bed?!" I should've just dragged him. "It's- where'd she go?" Kyle asked himself, turning around and noticing I was already gone. "Eh, never mind." He said and turned back around in bed.
I ran into his bathroom, which was surprisingly clean. "That's odd." I thought to myself. I shook the thought out of my head and focused on my main task. "Agh! My toothbrush!" I said while face palming myself. I ran back towards me and my sister's bathroom to grab my toothbrush. Luckily, our dogs were sleep, so they won't bother me. They usually think toothbrushes are sticks to play fetch with. I quickly grabbed my toothpaste and sprinted back towards my brother's bathroom. How have I not been in the Olympics yet? "Kat, why are you in such a- oh she's gone." Melody began but then went on with what she was doing. It wasn't the best time for questions at the moment. I popped open the toothpaste top and squeezed the minty substance onto my toothbrush. I opened my mouth and quickly started brushing my teeth, almost choking a few times and swallowing toothpaste. After rinsing my mouth, I made my way back to my bedroom.
"Okay, almost ready." I thought to myself, sighing in relief. I just needed to grab my book bag and my homework. MY HOMEWORK!!! I totally forgot about my homework. Just when I thought my morning was finally going well. This is bad. This is bad! It's okay, I'll do good without it!! Oh man, why didn't anyone wake me up this morning. I heard my phone buzz and I quickly picked it up to check it. Oh, I got a text message from one of my besties, Konnie.
"Hey hun! Wanna go to the mall today? I'm free all week. ^w^". Are you serious, Konnie?! She knows we have school today!
Aish, I already missed the bus. I'll just ask my parents to drive me to school. I bolted to my parents room to find that they weren't there. "Ugh! They already went to work!" I said to myself. Today is just my day. I guess I'll just ask Kyle. "Kyle!" I called while running down the hallway towards his room. I heard him grunt in annoyance and open his door. "What?" He called back. "Can you please drive me to school? You have to go anyway!" I exclaimed as I was just inches from his room. "Kat. There's no school today, or at all this week." He said and rested against his doorway, ruffling his midnight hair.
I slid to a halt and stopped right in front of him. "W-what did you say?" I asked, not even looking at him. "There's no school this week." He repeated, blinking his bored blue eyes. My mind went blank for a second. 'No school.' 'There's no school this week.' 'No school.' It repeated over and over in my head until I snapped back to reality. Kyle just looked at me as if I was crazy, which I was. "No school." I finally said. I dropped to my knees and collapsed on the floor. "How did I not know about this?" I asked, my voice muffled by the carpeted floor. "Because you stayed up watching your 'kawaii pack'." He said, making quotation fingers. Heh, yeah. I love my kawaii pack. "You didn't hear me and Melody when we told you, thought Konnie would've said something." He finished, scratching his head like it wasn't a big deal. "Why didn't you just say it louder, or knock on my door?!" I growled. He shrugged and I sighed. I felt arms scoop me up and I was resting on someone's shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw that Kyle was carrying me back to my room. He threw me on my bed and put his hand in his pockets. "Can I go back to my room now WITHOUT being asked questions every 2 minutes?" He asked. I giggled a little, knowing I was a tad insane this morning. "Yes, thank you Kyle." I said while wrapping myself in a blanket, becoming a burrito. As he was about to walk out my room, I stopped him. "Wait, Kyle!" "Oh my God, what?!" He asked while spinning around. "Can you close my door?" I asked him innocently with a sheepish smile. He glared and growled at me and shut my door, not slamming it. Ah, he's a nice bro bro. "Thanks!" I called through the door. I heard a 'whatever' and giggled to myself. I took out my phone to text Konnie back about going to the mall and set up my laptop for another marathon of 'Purple is The New Blue', anime, kpop, and game play. Ah, Mondays. Gotta love'em. ♡
