Currently my roommate/ best friend, Malaysia, and I were trying to figure out what to do on this boring Friday night. We could be doing something productive, but we're choosing not to. Typical us.
"Let's make that lemon cake we bought a couple days ago." I suggested.
"No you fat ass. We can't just eat all the time when we're bored." Malaysia said.
"ugh but i'm hungry."
"no, you just wanna eat everything because it's there." She was right. "mhm."
I was about to reply, but my ringtone cut me off. It was my cousin, Karina. "Hey lil sis, wassup." I answered.
"Hey lele!" She exclaimed. "my mom's not going to be home this weekend for something so can I stay with you and Malaysia this weekend?"
Even though Karina was a bit younger than us at fourteen, she was part of the squad. It was mainly just Aysia and I, but when she comes over, we're the three musketeers. She wants to live with us and Malaysia and I are open for it, but her mom won't let her.
"Of course, girl. When will you be here?"
"Couple minutes." she said.
"Okay see ya." I hung up. "It was Karina, she's staying for the weekend."
"Ayee that's wassup."
Minutes later the doorbell rang and Malaysia and I sprinted to the door. Though we were eighteen and twenty, her being the oldest, we were still mad childish.

"Lele!" Karina hugged me.
"Nice to know you love me too." Malaysia sarcastically said.
"I'm going to Vegas for the weekend with your uncle, if anything happens just call me. Bye girls, have fun but not too much." Auntie Jaime said.
"Bye titi!" Malaysia and I said our goodbyes.
"Bye mom!" Karina said.
"Ugh can we do something fun now?" Malaysia complained.
"I know right." Karina agreed, looking through our cabinets and refrigerator. "Can we make this lemon cake or something?"
"Gladly!" I exclaimed.
"Uh uh, I'm tryna watch my figure." Malaysia said, making me laugh.
"I'll put on the music!" Karina said, skipping into the living room as I brought out all of the ingredients for the cake.
"Karina I swear to God if you turn on you know what I'm putting you out."
