His mother entered quickly, sitting on his bed "Adrien, what happened?" she asked, grabbing his hand.

"Sorry mom, but I had a terrible nightmare" Adrien answered, and touched his forehead, which was sweating.

Alice wiped his tears with the back of her hand "Want to talk about it?" she offered. "No, I'm okay, I'll be okay" Adrien said. His mother nodded, and left the room.

Adrien was terrified. He was going to transform that same night. He had to tell his parents, but, what could he tell them? They wouldn't believe him. Even worse, what about Marinette? According to the dream, she will be his first prey. He couldn't imagine draining her blood from her neck, she falling to the ground while he tasted the red liquid, satisfied. He had to tell her at least, so she could be safe, safe from him. He sighed, and got ready for school. He went to the kitchen, and had breakfast, not saying a single word. He could notice that his parents were a little worried about him, but still, they didn't say anything. When he finished, he said "goodbye". Both of them said goodbye too, not showing they were extremely worried.

Adrien walked to the school, slowly. He was thinking about the thing he was about to tell Marinette. He was thinking about how he would tell her. He looked forward, then at his feet, all of this before placing his hands on his head. He sighed and continued walking. He closed his eyes, and saw the same scenes of his dream.

A hand made him open his eyes again. Someone was grabbing his hand, he looked at it, then up. Adrien saw Marinette smiling at him. He smiled back, and gave her a peck on the lips.

"Adrien, what were you doing, walking with your eyes closed?" Marinette asked, turning her eyes to the path ahead.

"Thinking" he simply answered, looking to his side. Now it was his chance, they were alone.

"Mari, there is something important I have to tell you" Adrien said, making both of them stop. She raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to talk.

Okay, he could do this. He wasn't sure what he would say though. He sighed, and let the wind mess his hair, which was combed this morning by him, trying to look his best for everyone, for Marinette. And yet, the cruel wind ruined it. It started to get stronger.

"Come on Adrien, you can tru-" she was interrupted by the wind. The two ribbons that were holding her pigtails were blown away. In less than two seconds, Adrien grabbed both of them and gave them back to Marinette. She grabbed them.

"You have amazing reflexes" she smiled, put away one of the ribbons, and with the other one she styled her hair in a half ponytail.

It was no surprise he had those reflexes, he was a wolf after all. But he didn't care about that now. He blushed slightly with the new hairstyle his girlfriend was using.

"So, what were you saying?" Marinette asked.

"... Oh, okay... Ummm... W-Well, I am not like the others. I am a... a..." he wanted to say it, but he couldn't! Everytime he tried to say the word "werewolf", it couldn't get out of his mouth. It was like the word was too hard to say, or as if his body didn't let him say it. Why can't I talk? I can't say it, my body won't let me, he thought.

"Forget it, it's... not important" Adrien said, and continued walking with Marinette.

She just nodded, and walked by his side. Adrien loved Marinette, and he appreciated her understanding self. She wouldn't push him to say something he didn't want to say. They didn't say a thing on their way. When they arrived, before entering, Marinette stopped Adrien.

"Adrien, you seem worried about something, want to talk about it?" Marinette offered, placing her delicate hand on his shoulder. He couldn't handle that face she gave him every time she wanted to know about something that was worrying him. Sure, if he didn't want to, she wouldn't insist. Her eyes became bigger and somehow shined under the sun. The warm smile upon her beautiful face; he couldn't handle it.

But he had to, he didn't have another option anyway. He wasn't allowed to say it, by who? His own body. It must be the magic the was inside if him that didn't let him tell someone about his curse. Could he call it that? His race, his biological family, himself; a curse? No, it wasn't one of those, he was born like this. He was born a monster. A monster that drained blood from people he cared of, people he loved. He said what was going to happen to him, indirectly.

"Actually, no, but I am worried. Maybe after tonight, I'll change a little" Adrien said, not really lying. He was going to change, but not in the way she was imagining.

Marinette raised an eyebrow, then laughed. "You don't need to worry about little details like those" she said, then continued "I will love you no matter what. Remember the question you made me when we were 12? And my answer?".

Yes, yes he did remember. The time he asked her what she would do if he turned into a werewolf one day. She said she would protect him, because she liked him. She also said they would be together forever. He nodded.

"It remains. Any change that happens to you won't change what I feel for you Adrien. I will protect you, at any cost" explained Marinette, and gave him a kiss on his cheek. She smiled at him, and entered the school.

Adrien sighed, not really believing what Marinette told him. He trusted her, he trusted her with his heart, but when you are going to turn into a supernatural creature, with fangs, ears and a tail, it's hard to believe that someone is going to be there for you, to protect you. He walked inside, and hoped everything would turn out just fine.

He was walking back to his house at night, midnight to be exact, a very late hour. He knew what would happen, and he couldn't do anything about it, but let it go. He closed his eyes, remembering the dream. Before he could reach the door, his body started aching. The full moon was high in the sky. After the pain in his back had stopped, he could feel something behind him, his eyes were filled with tears as his hands touched something furry that was in his back; he had a tail. After this realization, his head was the one aching this time. When it stopped aching, he could practically hear everything that was around him. He touched his head, he had ears, wolf ears. His normal ears were gone. He fell to the ground, and used his hands to support himself. He looked down, and was horrified as he saw claws on his hands. He suddenly felt thirsty, very thirsty. He needed it, blood, her blood. He stood up, his eyes were fierce, savage, and showed no emotion at all.

The dream became reality.
