My feet pound the ground, my breath slicing my lungs with cold air. My body ached, it killed. I didn't want to turn around, I had to keep running. Although whatever was behind me was close, very close.
Then smack. I trip over my feet and land on a rock, and some grass.
"Fück fück," my hands went to my head to keep it stable. Everything was doubling, fuzzy and blurry.
"Well I guess that's what you get from running," the voice was licking every inch of me. Reaching my core. It soothed, yet sliced. I squeezed my eyes closed and found myself falling back, maybe I was fainting.
Stranger's POV:
She fell back seeming unconscious. Thank god she didn't hit her head again, she had enough. My hands curled into fists at my side, why did I have to be like this.I went to her side and kneeled, moving her hair. Scanning her body, I soon picked her up and carried her.
"I wish you weren't unconscious, so I didn't have to carry you to my damned car," I grumbled under my breath. Her skin on mine sent tingles up my arms. She hadn't realized I was shirtless, thank the lords. Otherwise she probably would've fainted from that. Have a heart attack.
"So cocky aren't you?" I could hear Mike's voice in my head. My growl slipped out from my clenched jaw.
"Go away."
"Nah brother, I'm coming with. Especially since you have her with you," I could feel his eyes rake over her body.
"Would you quit that?!" My anger took over and I had to take a deep breath to recollect myself. Sliding my tongue over my teeth I looked at Andrea. She was still passed out in my arms.
My Maserati came into view and I quickened my pace, determined to get her to the house before it got too dark. I set her in the front seat, handcuffing her so she wouldn't be able to do anything if she awoke. Quickly closing her door, I ran to the driver side and hopped in, starting the engine.
"See you at the house loser," Mike was walking towards his Jaguar. Both of our cars were matte black, requirements of our boss.
The sun was setting faster and faster, and I had to drive faster. Mike looked like he wanted to race, but I wasn't about to risk Andrea's life. She has so much to find out, so much to learn. Everything hurt my head too much.
"If you kidnapped me....at least put some...music on," my ears picked up her moaning words. She was shifting in her seat, wincing everytime her head touched the seat, or anything.
I turned Bluetooth on, and played some music. It was a Twilight soundtrack.
"Fück," my face turned red and I quickly skipped the whole album.
"I...I like twilight..." She mumbled, then I heard her sniffle. My heart pounded and my eyes swerved to her in concern. A tear rolled down her cheek.
Without thinking I wiped it away with my thumb, then turned the station back to twilight. What the hell is my heart doing...
Okay. I have a soft side. So what.
Not that much. Just you wait till next chapter ;)
