Chapter 10: Rogue-Part 1

Author's POV:

It was night, in the tavern of Outcast island. Some vikings were drunk and some of them were fighting each other.
On the corner of the bar was sat a Viking girl who just finished drinking a horn of mead. We couldn't see her face under her hood.

A dragon hunter come sat next to her:
"Good evening Milady" he said.
She ignored him.

The dragon hunter drops a few gems on the bar:
"Two meads lad!"

The barman turned back and it was Marius. He gives him two horns and the dragon hunter handed one to the girl. She grabbed it and start drinking it.

"You're welcome" said the dragon hunter with sarcasm.

The girl looked at him with the corner of her eye but don't say anything.
The dragon hunter tries to take a look at her face hidden under the shadow of the hood. We could only see the bottom of her face and of the lower part of her scar on her cheek.

The dragon hunter noticed it:
"Ouch looks like it hurt... A dragon did that?"

The girl finally talk:
"Yes"

"What kind?"

"A Night Fury"

The dragon hunter gasps:
"He attacked you? So you know the one legged rider? That's a miracle you survive. You know, to hunt dragons we need tough Vikings like you."

"Are you recruiting me?" she asked.

"As the captain of the dragon hunters, yes I am. Are you interested?" He asked.

"It depends" the girl said.

"On what?"

"I'm looking for the Night Fury and his rider for some revenge" said One-eyed taking off her hood that revealed the whole scar.

"Oh... You look pretty young..." The captain said realizing the girl was just 20.

One-eyed hit her fists against the bar, everyone in the tavern is watching the scene. Marius was cleaning up some glasses and looks like he was ignoring what is happening.

One-eyed got up, the chair falls and face the captain:
"How dare you talking about my age while I'm planning a revenge" she said grabbing his shirt.

"Ah ah ah!" The captain laugh. "I like your spirit! You would be a perfect dragon hunter! You know, together we can take down this rider and his dragon and you'll be well paid. Deal?" He said to One-eyed helding her a hand.

"Deal." She said grabbing it while she let go his shirt.

Another dragon hunter enter in the tavern with Bella handcuffed.

"Sir, we found this dragon rider with 3 saddled dragons with her" he said while Bella was looking at One-eyed.
The captain noticed that look:
"Do you know her?" He asked.

"Yes, she was my assistant" she replied.

"Was?!" Bella said.

One-eyed pull out her knife and put it under Bella's throat:
"You're a dragon rider?! How dare you betray me like this with those beasts?!"
Bella don't even have the time to reply that One-eyes stab Bella in her belly. She felt on the floor, the knife still in her belly.

The captain smirked:
"We are leaving, you wanna come?"

One-eyed drinks bottoms up the horn of mead and dropped it on the bar:
"Of course I want"

One-eyed and the two dragon hunters left the tavern, ignoring the Bella on the floor.
Marius stared at them, still cleaning the glasses.
