This is a strange topic to all. Well, I’m going to criticize this two based on its MOVIE adaptation. It’s a big deal that the two movies are colliding in a way that each fans hated each other, on a more aggressive way, I guess.
Here it is:
Harry Potter
Yeah, since 2001, this classic movie keeps on invading our lives. Of course, everyone wants to be in a school of Witchcraft where we can learn all the basics of laziness. Yes, laziness. Imagine, in a flick of a wand, you can wash the dishes instantly, or you can even pretend like being sick by the use of, yeah, what that’s curse where Ron vomited a lot of slugs? Well, that’s a real gross; it’s not pretending but a better way to be absent.
Then, the characters in here were cute. Look how Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) grow - from the little cuties to a mature role. We saw how Harry and Ron form their muscles (waa) and how Hermione become a model type from being a literally shaggy hair of her when she was a little.
And look how Harry Potter invaded our lives, from 2001 – 2011! Gosh, that’s really a phenomenon. We even saw that Voldemort has a problem with his thingy nose. Of course, we cried when Dumbledore ended his life in HP6, how sad but the twist was great.
UNLIKE Twilight, HP adventure maybe fantastic to kids but for adults, it gives a little twist and little enthusiasm on memorizing the spells. Bear with me, you also memorize the spells right? Accio Ballpen! HAHAHA.
And look at how gorgeous Cedric Diggory in HP. He’s typically the handsome Hufflepuff player, am I right? He’s from Hufflepuff? Not like in twilight, he’s the shining shimmering vampire who controls himself from biting his little Bella.
Oh, let’s go to Twilight.
Twilight
Well, its story is kinda unique, yes because of its vampire-human relationship. But deal with it, how come that Kristen Stewart never changes her expression? Come on, I’m not against her but really, she’s a little bit of yeah, never mind. But in all goodness, she’s a brilliant actress. Honestly, I like her, in some of her movies anyway, not with this kind of role.
And look at Edward, yeah, the Cullens actually, it’s like they wore a lot of foundation but good, well, not really. In the movie, it’s kind of exaggerating everything. I’m fond of love stories but this one; it never thrills me, for me. But the twist with Jacob and Renesmee was a bravo! I never expected that he would imprint to that little girl of Bella and Edward. Well, that’s only the thrilling part; in all honesty, I hope Bella was with Jacob – because he’s really HOT!!
And yeah, it’s a fun thing to realize that you’ll live forever. Like the slogan I’ve seen:
Harry Potter – the boy who lived
Edward Cullen – the boy who lived Forever!
What else?hmmm. I’m not taking sides actually. I understand that these two moves were really different but I’m only taking the obvious difference. Don’t be angry if you’re pro-HP or pro-Twilight because I really love both of it. But my obsession is on HP. Am I being biased? Well, for one reason, I get a lot of fun in memorizing the spells and imagining that it works.
Caution:
Don’t be mad at me. It’s just my personal assessment on the movies! Have fun anyway.
