Carter- nightfall

Sitting on top of  a building a usually did every night. It me it never got old. Looking out  at the city that your protect day in and day out. It was peaceful. And relaxing.

But of course that never lasted long. Looking in the direction of the museum I zoomed on only to see someone  sneaking into the museum. Turning to look at my watch as the  clock read 11:50pn. I knew the museum was closed so I knew exactly who it was. I shook my head rather annoyed but hey duty calls

I stood up before I sighed. I then jumped right off the building without a care in the world. Of course  I landed smoothly before I ran down the street at lightning speed. I guess having the power to run quickly comes in handy.

I came to a stop as I was now at the museum. Looking up at the big white building I was curious to see what this person wanted. I then slowly made my way to the back of the building . Only to see the door open and a security guard unconscious on the ground.

I made my way to the door before I slowly made my way into the museum. I was quiet as I looked from my left to my right. There was a eerie-silence in the  Museum. I had to find this person.

Looking up i noticed that the security cameras were disabled. I was able to walk thru the museum freely without having to worry about that.  However I was still trying to figure out just what they wanted,

I began to make my way upstairs to the second level of the museum. My foot steps echoed thru the museum as there was nothing but silence. Once on the second floor I continued to look around for the person and just what they were after.

It was then that I felt something hit me from behind causing me to fall. I slowly got up before I was knocked on my back. I knew exactly who it was.

"You know if you weren't such a coward chase you would show yourself " I said as my voice echoed thru the museum. Yet it grew silent again. He annoyed me very much.

I heard a chuckle not to far from me."oh what's the matter Carter? Cant keep up?"

I allowed my hands to ball up into fist as my anger grew.

"Why are you here?"

"You seriously think I'm going to tell you?"

I could hear the voice move around the room. I knew he could see me so I stayed still.

"I'm sure you wouldn't tell me but whatever it is I won't let it happen "

He chuckled as the voice got farther away from me." I'm sure you will" he said sarcastically.

  I looked around the museum as I decided to see just what exactly was important in this place for chase to take. I sprinted around the museum. There was a lot of things. From paintings to artifacts.

However as I was running I then came to a complete stop. I backed up just a little bit before I saw it. The sapphire.

This jewel was a piece of the five jewels known as the collection. These weren't any normal jewels. They possessed a great amount of power. Whoever gathered the five would be able to harness there power and become unstoppable. And that's when it clicked.

He was after the jewel.

  I heard footsteps approaching me before I looked around. I made my feat into the exhibit before I hid somewhere close to the jewel. And just as I did there was chase walking into the exhibition.

Chase stood at about 5 foot 9inches. His black hair was gelled back as it always was. The green eyes full of arrogance as he held a smirk against his lips. His skin was taned but not to much. I knew a lot about him because we fought so much. Mainly his powered come from his attire and in this case the all black thing worked with his powers

I watched him look left then right before he turned his attention to the sapphire in cased in it glass. He whistled as he approached the glass. He brought his hand up before he turned his hand invisible and phased thru the glass. And that's when it was go time.

I sprinted past him as I punched him in the process. He groaned before I ran past him again taking out his knees which caused him to fall. The loud thud of his body hitting the ground echoed throughout the room.

I then slowly made my way over to him as I shook my head with a smile.

"How many time have we been over this chase? I always win"

I watched him roll his eyes before vanished. It was quiet a little bit to quiet for my liking.

It was then that I felt a kick on my back causing me to fall. He then grabbed my leg before he turned me around as I now looked at him.

"Not quite Carter " I heard him say as he turned visible. Using my other leg I kicked him into another display causing the glass to shatter. I got up and looked at him before making my way over to him and picking him up. I sprinted over to the rail of the second floor before I threw him over the rail. As he was falling I made my way downstairs and grabbed a trash can and placed it right underneath him. And that's exactly where he fell into. Then again that's where he  belonged.

I smiled to myself as I then looked at Chase.  Taking out the trash and stoping a villain in his tracks. But hey it was all in a day's work.
