"You're in my seat" he said through clenched teeth. Even his voice sounded handsome. How does handsome sound like? I've never really thought about it but I knew it would definitely sound like him.

"Oh this old thing" I flipped my hair a bit and added a seductive smile to it. "I love this seat. Plus, I have my friend right here" I pointed at Shay who had nothing to say except widen her eyes even more. "So.... I think I'll keep it. Run along and find another seat won't you love" I went back to looking at my book pretending to be busy.

"Get off my seat" he said through clenched teeth this time. I looked up to find him fuming, there probably was steam coming out of his ears, it was just too hot to see. "Ugh. You're so frustrating. Get up before I make you" he said furiously now. Anger issues much?

I looked up at him, putting on my best innocent face. He fumed some more and I put more pressure on the face. Good thing I took up acting in my old school else I would have cracked by now.

"Tell you what, you can have the seat if you go out with me" wow, quick recovery. He had a smile on his face now. I pretended to think about it. Like really think about it.

"How about we talk about it later. Besides... class is about to start. See you when I see you" I looked at my book again. Signalling the end of the conversation. He didn't move an inch. "Well, aren't you supposed to be finding a seat right about now?" I cocked an eyebrow. There were so many eyes on me I thought there was something wrong with me.

He looked at me for a few more seconds. A look of disbelief in his eyes, he looked confused for a second but quickly recovered. Then finally he looked as though he'd finally solved something. Like he knows something now. I'm very good at reading people, people watching has always been a great hobby of mine.

"Hey move. Find another seat" I looked up, thinking that was meant for me. To my surprise, the guy on the seat to my left stood up quickly and moved to another seat.

"Howdy neighbour. Looks like we're gonna be sitting next to each other" he said cheerfully all of a sudden. Did he ever shut up?

"I'm Zach and you are..." he extended his hand. I looked at it then at him. Is he okay? Did he hit his head as a baby? I huffed and looked away. To my relief, the teacher walked in at that moment. Never been so grateful to see a teacher.

"Good morning class. I'm Mr Fitz, your Biology teacher. Hope you all had a fantastic break and are ready to get back to it" he seemed rather excited. He looked over everyone, when his eyes landed on me he nodded his head a bit. Guess he must know most of the students in his class.

"So the first section we're doing this year is DNA. We're going to study..."

"So what's your name?" I felt someone poke my left hand. I gave him my most deathly glare.

"None of your business" I said keeping the glare on full blast. I looked back at the teacher. Another poke. And another. And another.

"What do you want?" I grit my teeth so hard, I thought they would disintegrate any second.

"I told you, your name" he said as though he's talking about the weather. I huffed again and ignored him.

"I won't stop bothering you you know. Just tell me your name and get it over with" I didn't even bother looking at him this time. I just subtly gave him the finger. He gasped and I gave myself a mental pat on the back.

"Hey, you know he's really noisy right" Shay whispered to me as she pointed to Zach with her eyes.

"I don't care. He better leave me alone. I actually want to pass this class" I did want to pass. I loved school and I sure as hell didn't want to live off my parents forever, they've already done so much for me.

"You know for a girl who looks as cool as you, you're not so cool" he said sounding bored. "So you talk to her and not to me? Mhh. Not fair".

Class went on with silence for a few more minutes. I was grateful for the silence. Ignorance is bliss. One can only take so much ignorance. Guess I was wrong.

"Ugh come on, I can't take it anymore" Zach said, sounding tired and annoyed. I groaned, guess I spoke too soon. He can be worse.

"Something wrong Zachory?" Mr Fitz asked with a devious smile. There seemed to be a double meaning in his words but what do I know.

"No sir. Just really loving this class is all"

"Good Zachory. I would expect nothing less from you" this time he smiled and has an evil glint in his eyes. He looked at me momentarily and smirked to Zack.

"Yes sir. Sorry sir. Uh, can you please just call me Zach? It's shorter than um... you know. Saves you time and energy and uh..." So he hates being called by his full name? I could use that to my advantage somehow.

"As I was saying, we each have a different DNA..."

"So, name" this time he nudged me and moved his face too close to mine probably to make me so uncomfortable I tell. I looked him straight in the eye and put my game face on.

"Why do you want to know Zachory?" I made sure to watch his face as I said this to gauge his reaction. He flinched a bit and moved back to his seat. "What's wrong Zachory? Cat got your tongue?" I put extra emphasis on his name this time and that did the trick.

Looking down at his book he muttered something along the lines of "you're evil". I wouldn't know for sure, I was having too much fun, basking in my glory. Now I really have a shot at passing this class.
