Stiles POV
I was sitting down at the usual table in the cafeteria waiting for Scott. I was wondering where the new new girl was going to sit. She didn't seem like a cheerleader or a jock-definitely not a jock-a nerd maybe?
My thoughts were interrupted when I spotted my sister Kayleigh walking in with Scott. Oddly, they were walking quite close, laughing and chatting. I gave them a strange look but I shook my head, dismissing it as a full moon thing. Scott wouldn't go out with my sister.
Kayleigh stepped apart from him when she spotted me at the other side of the room. I narrowed my eyes suspiciously. My sister smiled awkwardly before walking away from my best friend, who strolled towards the table.
"What was that?" I asked as he sat down across from me.
"What do you mean?"
"What do you mean what do I mean??" I paused. "Sorry that came out wrong."
Scott gave him a weird look.
"You and my sis-" Kayleigh arrived at the table. "-ter hi!"
Kayleigh completely ignored me and sat down next to Scott, both of them exchanging a strange glance. I pretended not to see it and carried on eating. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Sarah and Leo walking through the door.
In sixth grade Leo messed with my calculator so when I hit the 0 button it blurted out the word 'boobs' in the middle of class. I got suspended for three days-my dad was not pleased. When I told Kayleigh she just laughed. I still had a grudge against him but for some reason I felt uncomfortable seeing him with Sarah.
I held my history book up to my nose and peered over it, to investigate subtly. Scott and Kayleigh looked at me, eyebrows raised. I dropped the book back onto the table and awkwardly scratched the back of my neck.
"What's up with you?" Kayleigh smirked.
"Me? What? Nothing."
She looked over her shoulder. "Are you looking at the new girl? Sarah?"
"Nooooooo....."
"Oh you definitely were." Scott said.
"Leave me alone guys..."
