"Honey! Wake up!" Arabella heard her mother shout from the kitchen in a somewhat sweet, loud wake-up call. Today was the twenty third of October and it was a rainy day. Arabella's mother hated the rain, Bella on the other hand did not. The rain was peacefully soothing to her. Arabella groaned, kicking the blankets off of her. Her mother didn't hear a response, so she called for her again. "Arabella! C'mon! School sta-" she interrupted before her mother could finish; "I'M COMING-" she yelped, putting on jeans and a sweatshirt. Bella wasn't necessarily popular, but she did have a thing with the most loved boy in her grade, Alex Smith. All the girls loved him, but for some reason he only liked Bella. Bella wasn't sure how she felt about him though. She didn't like the idea of 'dating'. The whole subject was nonsense to her considering she wouldn't know half of her grade in twenty years. Arabella had long golden blonde hair and piercing green eyes. She was a beautiful girl. She had a slim figure, and she was unexpectedly tall. Bella combed back her long hair and put on a little makeup. She didn't like the idea of makeup either... so she only wore a little. Arabella grabbed her boots and excited her room, walking to the kitchen. "Morning." Her mother smiled as Bella sat down at the table. "Morning." She replied as her mom placed a plate with food in front of her. "Thanks." Bella said, eating a little. Arabella really didn't like the first meal of the day. She was a picky eater and there wasn't many choices she wanted to choose from. Her mother walked to Bella's side, kissing her head. "I'll be back from work at six. I love you!" She said as she left. Bella chuckled, looking at her ten year old dog, feeding him the rest of her food. "Good boy!" Arabella giggled, petting the Golden Retrievers fluffy head. She got up and grabbed her keys, turning the lights off and locking the door. She walked to her car trying her best not to get wet from the rain. Arabella was a junior in high school so she had gotten her license a couple weeks back. She then turned on the vehicle and headed to school- more like hell for children.
Bella got so school surprisingly early considering the time she woke up. She went to her locker, which took long since she was on the second floor of the building. She did her combination, and placed her books inside. "BELLS!" A voice shouted, hugging her from behind. Arabella chuckled, turning and giving her best friend, Ray, a hug. Ray was overly attached to Bella, which was expected because they had been best friends since third grade. She had shoulder-length blonde hair and beautiful brown eyes. She was a skinny girl and she was slightly taller than Bella. Ray was a kind, generous girl and she was always the best person to talk to when you were in tough situation. "Hey", Bella chuckled, pulling away and shutting her locker. "Guess what." Ray said , wiggling her eyebrows. "What?" Arabella asked, starting their morning walk down the halls. "There are rumors of a new kid! I was like OMG, the last time we had a new student was like- twenty million years ago!" Ray said with a hint of laughter. Arabella rolled her eyes as their other best friend ran down the hallway to catch up with them. "Heyo!" Gigi smiled, walking beside them. "Ey." Bella said, smiling lightly at Gigi. Gigi was a slim girl, however she wasn't very tall. She had curly brown hair and bright blue eyes. She was pretty but she was very insecure and sensitive. "So, I was in the office this morning, and I saw the new kid- you hear about that?" Gigi asked Bella and Ray. "Yup!" Ray said happily. "Girl or guy?" Arabella asked her as they turned the corner. "Guy.. and... he's kinda cute.." Gigi said smiling as the first bell rang. The friends said goodbye and they each went to their classes. Bella and Ray had English, which was upstairs luckily. Gigi had Calculus, which was downstairs.
Bella sat down letting Ray sit beside her. Everyone smiled at Bella as they walked in the room. There was fourteen students in that English class, so it wasn't very big. The teacher, Mrs. Edmund started talking about verbs and shit, and Bella really didn't care to listen so she started daydreaming. That lasted for about ten minutes until a boy that Bella had never seen before walked into the room, snapping her out of her thoughts. He was a little taller than Bella and he was very thin. He had wavy blondish-brown hair, and electric blue eyes that were hypnotising. Arabella quickly looked down as he made eye contact with the boy. Mrs. Edmund walked over to the blonde and talked for a minute before she introduced him. "Guys, this is our new student Jack Davis. He is from Britain.. please be nice!" She said as she patted his back gesturing for him to go find a seat. He went to sit down in the first row, but the biggest slut in eleventh grade, Sel, put her feet up on the chair he was about to sit in. He got the memo and walked past Bella and Ray, sitting in the seat behind Arabella.
Class went on for a while, and all Mrs. Edmund did was talk. And talk some more. "Okay, now start on your homework for tonight please." She said with a cheeky smile as she gave everyone their homework assignment. "Uh.. hey.. can I um borrow a pencil?" The new boy, Jack, asked Bella, causing her to turn around. "Uh.. sure." Bella said with a smile. She sure thought he was attractive, but he was probably just like any other jackass. Bella found him a pencil and turned back around. "Here." She said, handing him it. "Thank you, love." He said with his British accent. Arabella knew people would make fun of him for being the only Brit in school, but she thought it was... well.. kinda cute. Maybe that was something she should just keep to herself though.
The next four class periods went smoothly for Bella. She had one other class with Jack, but she didn't think anything of it. The three friends later met up in the hallway again, and walked to lunch together. "The new kid is kinda super cute!" Gigi said to Bella as they sat at their usual table. "Is he?" Bella said although she already saw his face. "Totally!" Gigi replied as she started talking to Ray. Arabella looked over her shoulder at Alex. He was laughing and pointing at something. When he saw Bella was staring, he looked her straight in the eye and winked. Bella rolled her eyes and smiled. She didn't know if she liked him yet, but she did know she was lucky to be liked by him. She turned around and looked at the table in front of her. Jack sat alone. She then realized that they were laughing at him. No emotion racked though Bella when she saw that. She didn't feel pitty... She actually knew that he would be made fun of sooner or later. That's just how things work...
Arabella picked though her food no longer feeling hungry. "It's a pitty he has to sit alone." Ray said as she watched Jack. Bella looked at Ray, "Then do something-" she said annoyed slightly. "I don't want to look weird-" Ray replied. Bella looked up at Jack again and got up. "I'll do it then." Ray and Gigi questioned what she was doing, and watched. "Hey.." Bella said, sitting beside Jack. "Come sit with us. Wouldn't want you to be lonely." She smiled lightly. "Oh. It's fine, I'm sure you wo-" Jack began to say no, but Bella interrupted, "No. You have no choice. Come." She said, walking back. A few seconds later Jack walked over and sat down at their table. He didn't say much, but neither did Bella. Ray and Gigi on the other hand were asking Jack dozens of questions. A few times during the lunch period Jack and Bella just couldn't stop staring at each other, but they both brushed it off. Jack thought Bella was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. There was something about her that made him want to tell her his darkest secret... The only problem was that he couldn't.
After eighth period, Jack was walking down the hallway when Alex tripped him, making him fall. Arabella saw it out of the corner of her eye and she couldn't help but look away... Jack groaned, trying not to be pissy. He quickly picked up his things and began walking again, making no eye contact with any of the bullies... if he did, things wouldn't be pretty.
