Jeonghans Pov
The next morning I'm in the house all by myself again. Minghao is still with Jun and Seungcheol is out working. Suddenly my phone starts to ring. It's seungcheol's grandmother?
" Hello?" I say
" Oh Jeonghan it's so nice to hear your voice, how are you dear?" She asks
" I'm great thank you for asking. How are you halmeoni?" I ask
" Wonderful. How's Minghao doing?" She asks
" He's doing great in school" I say
" Good good. Where's my grandson?" She asks
" He's out working as always" I say
" You and Minghao should visit me sometime" she says
" We're free today, should we come today?" I ask
" Oh yes that would be wonderful. I can't wait to see you" she says
" See you soon" I say hanging up
I finally get to see my son after a whole week and 2 days. I haven't see his face once. I call his number and wait.
" Eomma!" He answers in the cutest voice
" Awh my baby I missed your voice. Halmeoni wants us to visit so make your way here as soon as possible please" I say
" Ne" he says as we hang up
I'll tell him about the baby as soon as we get there. He's gonna be so excited. Me and Seungcheol decided to let him name her. The only thing is the name has to be gender neutral just in case she's like me.
I call seungcheol to see if he's coming with us. He should come, the last time he saw his grandmother was last Christmas.
" Baby" he answers
" Where are you?" I ask
" Just got some donuts and coffee for the staff, why?" He asks
" Your grandmother called and she wants us to visit, you coming?" I ask
" I can't, there's too much work to do at the company." He says
" Seungcheol..." I sigh
" I'm sorry baby. Tell her I said hi. Gotta go, I love you" he hangs up
I sigh as Minghao walks through the door.
Seungcheols Pov
I lied, I'm actually going to my parents house. They want to talk to me about something coming up that's gonna change a lot of things. My parents want me to enlist in the army now, but the thing is they know nothing about us adopting yet. I'm gonna tell them today but I don't think that's gonna change their opinion.
I get out my keys and open the door. I walk in to a silent house.
" Eomma? Appa?" I call
" In the living room" she calls
I walk into the living room and see them sitting on the couch. I sit on the other couch across from them.
" Well it's finally your turn to follow my footsteps. You can move up to captain just like me as long as you prove yourself to be a good soldier. You're serving your country for six years or maybe more if you like it. Minghao could join in a few years to! Look at my son making us proud!" My dad says smiling
" Me and Jeonghan are adopting a baby" I just let it out
" What?" My mom says
" She's 2 months old and from China, we'll have her in about a month" I say
" That's great but you're still going" he says
" I know I'm going but Minghao isn't going anywhere. He's not ever going. " I say
" But what about the baby?" Mom asks
" I'll get to see her for almost 2 months before I leave. I'll go for a few months at a time and then come home for a week then go back" I sigh
" What does Jeonghan think?" She asks
" I didn't even tell him yet. He's gonna be so upset. I'm gonna miss my daughters first birthday and my sons 17th birthday. I'm gonna miss seventeens 3rd anniversary and Jeonghans 22nd birthday. Our first wedding anniversary. Everything..." I say as my eyes get watery
" You might be home for some of those things" dad says
" No I won't and you know that" I say as tears start to fall
" Son that isn't true" he says
" WHEN THE FUCK WERE YOU EVER HOME?! MY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION? MY FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN? CHRISTMAS? MY FUCKING DEBUT?! NO YOU DIDN'T MAKE ANY OF THOSE!" I yell
" Seungcheol calm down" mom says
" Stop feeding me bullshit" I say getting up and leaving
" Son!" Dad calls after me but I keep going
I get in my car and just sit there crying. I try not to cry but I cant help it this time. I'm gonna have to tell Jeonghan when he gets home.Then I'll tell all the boys the next day. I know I'm gonna cry both times. That will be the last time though. No more crying for me.
Jeonghans Pov
We sit on her couch as she brings in a tray of fruit.
" Gamsahamnida Halmeoni!" Minghao says eating the fruit
" Where's Halabeoji?" I ask
" He's at a soccer game with his friends. Ah they love watching soccer but they're too old to play it" she says as I laugh
" Seungcheol couldn't make it but he wanted me to tell you he said hi" I say
" That boy is so busy these days" she says
" Did you make cookies? I smell cookies!!" Minghao says getting up and running to the kitchen
" Yah! Choi Xu Minghao!! I prepared healthy fruit! You can't have cookies all the time" she says as he walks back in eating a cookie
" Aish your 16 but you act 5" she says as we laugh
" Minghao's gonna be a big brother" I say
" For real?!" He says
" Yep, you're gonna have a little sister" I say as he covers his mouth
" I always wanted a little sister" he says
" Aigoo I'll have a great grand daughter! This is so exciting." She says
" She'll be with us in a few months" I say
" Your grandfather is going to be so excited" she says
" Me and your dad have also decided to let you name her but it has to be a gender neutral name" I say
" XiaoLia, I don't even have to think about it" he quickly says
" Why'd you pick that?" I ask
" Xiao can be a boy name and Lia can be a girl name so that way you can call her whatever you want. Xiao Choi or Lia Choi or XiaoLia Choi. It's just two of my favorite names put together" he says
" XiaoLia it is. I already know Seungcheol will love the Lia part" I say
