Hannah's POV
As I stared at the person in the doorway, I couldn't move. I couldn't even bend down to pick up the five dollar bill that was on the ground. I couldn't look away.
"Hi, Hannah."
"Hi... Kendall," I replied, barely being able to spit out the words. "What are you doing here?" I asked, stepping out of the house onto the front porch. I closed the door behind me. My parents couldn't know that he was here. They knew that a boy - Kendall - was a reason I wanted to go back to LA.
"I came her to get you back, and there was something I should have done back in LA before you left," Kendall said, a grin forming on his lips.
"And that something would be...?" I asked, and Kendall's grin grew bigger. He leaned in slowly, and I knew what was coming next. I smiled, feeling myself lean in too. Kendall's lips brushed softly against mine.
"Hannah!" My mother yelled from insided the house, and we jumped apart.
"Go!" I yelled, motioning for him to run around the house. Kendall gave me a confused look, and I rolled my eyes. "Go around the house and hide!"
"How will I know when I can see you?"
"I'll come to you, just go!" I said, before opening the front door and running inside. "Yeah, Mom?"
"Where were you?"
"I... went outside to check and see who was at the door," I replied, casually.
"Oh. Who was it?"
"It was the," I paused, trying to think of something. "I don't know. I think it was a ding-dong-ditcher."
"This earlier? It's still bright outside, we could see them."
"Well, I didn't. I'm just going to go upstairs now," I said quickly, running up the stairs and towards my room. I had a balcony in my room, and I quickly walked over to it. I opened the doors, and I felt the strong wind. I shivered, crossing my arms. "Psst!"
"What was that?" I heard Kendall whisper, and I laughed under my breath.
"Kendall, up here," I said, and he looked around, then his eyes landed on my balcony.
"Oh, hi."
"Hi. Is there any way you could possibley get up here?" I asked, looking around the outside of my balcony.
"The tree?" Kendall questioned, and I shrugged.
"You can try," I said, and Kendall started to climb up. I watched Kendall as he tried to climb up the tree, and I saw his foot start to slip. "Watch out!" I yelled, and Kendall placed his foot higher up on the tree. I looked into my room at my door, hoping that my mom didn't hear this and wasn't going to check up on me. Kendall finally climbed over the railing and he was standing infront of me.
"So, did you have anything to tell me?" I asked, laughing as Kendall freaked out, realizing his gray beanie hat was still down on the ground.
"Yeah, I did, actually. Hannah, come back to LA with me."
"Uh, Kendall, if you haven't noticed..."
"Tonight."
"Tonight?! Are you nuts?"
"Apparently..." Kendall said, and I ran my hand through my bangs.
"I can't just leave! I already tried already, twice. I got busted both times, and now I'm grounded so they are watching me like a hawk anywho," I explained, and Kendall's eyes widened.
"You've tried already? Twice?" Kendall asked, and I nodded. He sighed, shoving his hands into his pockets.
"Look, the flight leaves tonight. I leave for the airport at 6:30," Kendall said, and I sighed.
"I don't think I can do it, Kendall. Maybe, I belong here. Maybe, I'm not meant to be an actress. Maybe-" I babbled, but Kendall interrupted me by crashing his lips onto mine. He placed his left hand on my cheek as he softened the kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck, us pulling apart only moments later. "You're making it so much harder to say no."
Kendall chucked softly, and we stared into each others eyes. "You don't have to if you don't want to. I don't want you to feel pressured, or anything. It's just," Kendall paused, smiling slightly. "I know a lot of people miss you back in LA."
"Like who?" I asked, grinning, and Kendall laughed.
"James, Carlos, Logan, Abbey, Jay," Kendall said, putting emphasis on Abbey and Jay's names. "Me."
"I don't know, Kendall..."
"Think about it. Call me at 6 with you decision, problem solved," Kendall said, and I nodded, taking a deep breath.
"I mean, I want to follow my dreams and everything but I don't want to get caught for running away for a third time," I explained, sighing and Kendall nodded.
"Understandable. Just let me know," Kendall said, smiling and he kissed my cheek. I blushed at the motion, and Kendall chuckled. He walked over towards the railing, about to climb over when I stopped him, shutting my eyes tight.
"Kendall?"
"Yeah?"
"I'll do it. I'll go to LA with you."
