"I need your help, Francis..."
One would think that since Arthur and Francis were alive now, their story was pretty much complete, that they could settle down and get married once their relationship got to that point. But there was still one thing Arthur needed to do before any of that could even cross their minds.
"Of course, mon Cher." Francis smirked and slipped his finger under Arthur's chin, pulling him in for a kiss.
He didn't know why Arthur had drug him along to the mall along with their brothers, telling the younger two to run off on their own. However, the Brit suspected he thought this was a date.
"Stop that...not in public..." Arthur hissed once Francis had his fill.
"If you didn't want me to kiss you, zhen don't look at me wizh zhose beautiful eyes of yours." Francis grinned in the most beautiful way.
"Shut your whore mouth."
"Non!"
"Can you just listen to me?"
"Oui. What do you need?"
"I need you to help me get Alfred and Kiku together..."
"Right...I forgot about zhat." Francis grinned. "So, what do you propose?"
"I don't know. That's why I needed you here."
"Ah, mon Cher, zhat is truly adorable."
Arthr rolled his eyes. "Kiku is in the food court. I texted him to wait there. Alfred will probably end up there sooner or later."
"And zhen what?"
"Then I don't know."
Francis put his arm around his boyfriend's waist. "I'm glad you came to me."
"Whatever. Let's just do this."
"Okay, so Alfred does like Kiku...you know zhat much..." Francis lead the Brit along into H&M where Alfred was browsing through CDs.
Arthur's eyes locked on to a pair of Doctor Who socks and they lit up. Francis noticed and snickered.
"You are zhe biggest nerd I know."
Arthur looked down at his shoes. "I just really love the Doctor, okay..."
"I'll buy zhem for you."
"You don't have to."
"Non. I do. Because in a few years we might get married and zhose socks will keep you from getting cold feet."
"That was a shit metaphor."
"I liked it."
"Just buy me the damn socks."
"Anyzhing for you, sugar."
"Don't call me that."
Francis laughed again, beautiful and bright as always. It brought a smile to Arthur's lips, which the Frenchman kissed eagerly. He plucked the socks from their hook and waited until Alfred left the store before he strutted up to the check out to purchase them.
Afterward, they both went on their way to the food court where Kiku sat alone and staring into space.
"Zhe vest plan we 'ave is to pretend we casually ran into you and zhen call Alfred over when 'e comes." Francis announced to the dark haired boy who nodded softly.
"If it works, it was my idea." Arthur insisted.
"Whatever you say, amour." Francis rolled his eyes, grinning from ear to ear.
"So now arr we have to do is wait?"
"Oui. It'll be all fixed in an 'our or two." Francis declared.
Arthur knew that his promise would not be crushed.
He believed in Francis that much.
