Chapter 3: Apartment Tour

"Just knock lizzie!" Mum called behind me. She was right. I really should knock now after waiting outside for the last 10 minutes pondering over whether I had worn the right clothes... Or if I had the right address. Yes I had the right address because there was a bright blue door! Like they had said in the many times we had talked over Skype.

"Oh for gods sake!" Mum pushed past and pushed the doorbell. Nobody came.
"What the hell did you do that for? Now some angry business man is going to come to the door and have a go at us!" Just then a tall man came to the door. They fiddled around with the lock and he appeared. It was Phil.
"Hello angry business man! Sorry for interrupting your work!" My mum said trying to be funny.
Phil looked at me with a confused look on his face.
"Phil, this is my mum." I stepped to the side so that he could properly see her.
"Hello... Um lizzie's mum?"
"Karen."
"Oh ok. Hello Karen."

After two minutes of meeting Phil I was already embarrassed. Thanks a lot mum! Just don't mess it up with Dan. We went up the three flights of stairs and into their living room.
"Oh hi! I'll put my mac down so that I'm not unsociable!" Dan put his mac onto the wooden side table and sat up from his slouching position.
"I swear by the time I'm 24 I'll have back problems." A part of me melted when he looked straight into my eyes with his deep brown ones and smiled.
"So, what you wanna do?" Dan said awkwardly. I had to find a way to get rid of mum.
"Why don't we play halo?" I asked
"You play halo?" Dan got up off the sofa to get the controls
"Yeah why not? Me being a girl means nothing. Well ok it means something's b-"
"Halo it is then!" Dan smiled

Ok I told a little white lie. I have only played halo twice with my cousin but I knew what to do... Sort of.
"WOAH watch out!" Phil shouted from the table
"Ok ok I've got it!" I panicked with the buttons trying to remember which one was which. Agh stupid squares and triangles on the remote! I don't get it! By this time mum was getting inpatient and fidgety.?
"I need to go out shopping! London is the perfect place to shop so I'll see you later! Phone me when you want me to pick you up ok?" And with that mum was out of the door.
"Here let me give you a hand." Dan came and sat right next to me.
"I have played this before. Just not a lot. I prefer crash bandicoot." I said truthfully
"Ok we have that! I'll go and get it." Dan got up and went to his bedroom while phil came and sat on the sofa next to me.
"Who is fan wars for next week?" Phil turned to me and smiled
"You watch our show then?"
"Of course! I love dan vs phil and have been meaning to send in a music video!"
"I'll just be a minute. Crash bandicoot has vanished!" Dan shouted from down the hall
"It's probably down the back of something." Phil said quietly to me "Try under your bed. It was on your bedroom floor last week!" Phil shouted in response to dan.
"Got it!"

The rest of the afternoon was mainly games, lunch and videos. Yes I got to be in one of the new super amazing projects! I'm not meant to say but the new series is coming out next week! It then came to about 7pm and I decided to leave it for today. Although that decision took a lot of argument between myself to come to.
"Mum, could you come and pick me up now?"
"Yeah ok I'll be there in a few minutes!"
"Today has been really good! Maybe next time we might need to plan something and go out in London!" Phil shrugged
"Yeah that would be really cool. Thanks for today it has been really good and can't wait for the next time. If you want a next time?"
"Definitely."
As soon as dan said that mum knocked at the door.
"I'll go start with dinner, you go say goodbye." Phil walked off to the kitchen.
Dan took me down the stairs and when I thought he was getting past me to open the door he kissed me lightly on the cheek.
"Can't wait for next time!" And I left in a daze.
