It was exactly 200 years since the fateful day that Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara had agreed on the truce that led to the founding of Konohagakure. The Village Hidden in the Leaves was in celebration.
The streets, narrow on any usual day of the week, were nearly impossible to navigate, packed full of performers and stalls and wonders of all kinds. Adults mingled with their friends, admired the festivities, and compared everything to how it was when they were young (there were always disappointed with how it stacked up). Children darted through the crowds, laughing and playing and singing, drinking in the kind of anniversary that only happened once every hundred years. On the rooftops, Genin, Chunin and Jonin alike participated in the festivities while also going about their usual duties. A light load of course – nobody wanted to work on Founding Day.
Konohagakure was the oldest village of the Five Elemental Nations, though only by a few years. The massive, sprawling metropolis was an eclectic mixture of old and new architecture, from grand, sweep estates that dated back hundreds of years to quick, cheap apartment buildings that had been constructed en mass only recently.
Truth be told, the newer buildings outweighed the older ones. It had only been fourteen years since the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, the Kyuubi, cut a swath of destruction through the city, reducing many of its old, proud structures to rubble and ash. But those were dark thoughts, for dark times, and had no place on a day of celebration.
Kakashi found working with the three teammates to not be as torturous as he'd originally thought. They actually provided a source of amusement and joy in his ordinarily dull life. Especially the small rivalry that had formed between his two male charges.
"You asshole! I was doing just fine without you!" Naruto shrieked angrily.
Sai gave his usual fake smile, twirling his kunai at the end of his index finger. "You nearly cracked your head open. But you're right, next time I'll just let your ass fall. Then I won't have to listen to your screeching." Cue the fake grin.
Kakashi watched with a small grin, though no one would have known, from the far side of the training field. He wasn't exactly sure what had happened, as he'd been very intently studying his "novel", but it really didn't matter at that point. The two had already hit their boiling points.
Naruto had a fist full of Sai's shirt, and pulled the boy to him. "You want to repeat that?!"
"Naruto!" Sakura cried at the sudden violence from the blonde. "Let go of him!"
Naruto scowled but let go of him. Sakura and Kakashi signed.
"C'mon, it's festival, let's go and eat something. Besides, these work got me starving." Sakura said and Naruto brighten up.
"Oh, oh! Let's get ramen!" Naruto suggested brightly, previous bad mood already forgotten.
Sakura signed in exasperation"We had ramen last night, Naruto! And do you have any idea how many calories are in there? Eating this everyday is unhealthy!"
Naruto scoffed at that and waved his hand, dismissing the notion. "I don't care. It's delicious!"
"There are more calories in your stomach than in the local supermarket, Ugly." Sai said in his monotonous tone.
SLAP
Sakura had just left her hand print on Sai's face. "Say that again and I'll castrate you." She warned him.
Naruto sniggered on the other side of the Sakura and Kakashi pulled out his book to start reading.
"I thought women liked compliments?" Sai asked as he gently rubbed the spot that Sakura had slapped.
"That, was not a compliment." The pink haired medic replied before she rounded on her former sensei. "Would you stop reading porn in public?"
"Sakura, it's a romance novel not porn. Besides, it is very informative." Kakashi said without even looking up from his book.
"May I burrow it, senpai?" Sai asked drawing her attention to him once again.
Kakashi smiled, "Of course, Sai."
"Don't you dare!" Sakura shouted.
Suddenly, their surroundings swirled. Kakashi watched with alarm so did Naruto, knowing it's similarities with the same jutsu Kakashi used to fight the blonde akatsuki member, Kamui.
An opening formed and suddenly Two people were jumped out of it and the opening closed and the swirls disappeared.
Both of them were women, One was pregnant while other was holding a bundle. Both women has so many physical similarities to His Female teammate and Hyuga heiress.
Naruto, as rash as always, Ran forward with Kunai in his hand.
"Naruto!" Kakashi found himself screaming, "wait!"
Both Strange females look shocked at them.
Sai grasped Naruto's collar causing him to stop.
"Naruto." Pink haired woman breathed in amazement. Her familiar emerald eyes went from Naruto to Sai to him and finally to Sakura.
Kakashi walked towards them in cautious pace, "Who are you?" His voice was hard. It was a good thing that all the people were attending festival and the area was deserted except them.
"K-Kakashi? Is that really you?" The pinkette waddled over and threw herself in Kakashi's arms.
Kakashi caught her, "K-Ka-ka....." He felt her go limp.
"Sakura-chan!" The other woman yelled.
Kakashi look at her, "Sakura?" His voice barely above whisper.
The woman nodded.
"Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Get her to Hospital. I'll take this one." With that he lifted the fainted Pinkette bridal style.
Just as Sai took a step towards her, she stepped backwards, clutching the bundle tightly. Suddenly a wail rang. It was coming from the from the bundle.
Sakura took the matter in her hands and calmly walked to her, "Ma'am, you're safe. We're taking you to the hospital." She watched as she relaxed, "What's your name?"
"Hinata." She answered softly.
Sakura gave her a reassuring smile. Hinata cradled the crying child.
Kakashi nodded at Sakura before disappearing in a smoke.
He appeared in the Hospital, startling the poor receptionist, "Call Lady Tsunade immediately!" The receptionist motioned at the two nurses before guiding Kakashi to the room.
He laid the unconscious pinkette on the hospital bed. The receptionist disappeared. He dropped tired in the chair.
His lone eye took the features of his posible student. The resemblance was undeniable. She does have a diamond as Tsunade. Her robes were awfully resembling the colors of Uchiha clan. Not to mention the Uchiha crest necklace hanging from her neck.
Kakashi rubbed his temples. He could feel the headache coming.
In a minute or so Tsunade walked in following by Shizune and Kakashi was kicked out of the room. Outside, he saw his three students.
"We got her in the room. The medic-nin is examining her and the baby." Sakura reported. Kakashi nodded.
She hesitantly continued, "Kakashi-sensei, could they be.....?" She trailed off.
"I don't know, Sakura."
The door opened and everyone perked up seeing Tsunade.
"She's fine. Just fainted due to stress. And Yes, She's Sakura."
Naruto's mouth hung opened, "B-But? HOW?!"
Tsunade shook her head, "Only they could tell. Speaking of which, where's the other one?"
Sakura blinked before snapping out of her thoughts, "I'll take you, Shishou." And left with Tsunade.
