My legs were strong but the pain coming from my stomach made them shake and tremble like the first time I shifted. I had deep scratches all over my stomach and back from my fight with the rogues. Bones healed after an hour depending on how bad it is, but scratches as deep as mine went take some time to heal.

I wrapped an arm around my stomach, hoping the extra support would keep me upright as I walked down the stairs of my parents house. I could hear and smell the Alpha family in the main room with my parents and Liam with two other Lycans with him.

Why they all were here, I don't know.

The talking stopped the moment my bare foot touched the cold hardwood and all the attention was on me. Father and Alpha Stanely were standing next to the fireplace, probably talking about something important, Mother and Luna Amy were on the dark brown couches with Cynthia sitting attentively next to her mother, and Liam and his Lycans looked like big bad guard dogs next the entrance to the kitchen.

"Roselyn!" Cynthia squealed excitedly, breaking form, jumping and tackling me in a painful hug. I winced painfully as her bony knees hit my stomach before she wrapped them around my waist and hugged her back gently.

"Cynthia get off her right now," Luna Amy ordered with a horrified look on her face. I felt something wet start dripping on to my shoulder and I just shook my head at Luna Amy.

"She's fine Luna," I tell to her. Luna Amy looked at me with the I don't believe you look but didn't say anything more.

Focusing back on Cynthia, I rub her back gently and make soothing sounds as her sobs become louder and more prominent. She pulled her head back from my shoulder revealing her glassy and puffy green eyes.

"I-I thought you had gone to be with the Moon Goddess, just like Mr. Dorian had! An-And I came to visit you everyday but you were s-so pale and...this all is my fa-fault! If I ha-had just listened to mom-mommy then Mr. Dorian wouldn't ha-have left us and you wouldn't have got-gotten so huuuuurttttttttt!!!!!!!"

My eyes bugged out slightly at her outburst but I just kept rubbing her back making shushing noises hoping to calm her down. It floored me that she thought this was all her fault, how can one so little be capable to understand what happened last night.

After a few minutes Cynthia's tears slowed and she fell asleep in my arms. Gently, I walked over to the couch and tuck her in like a burrito and brush the tears off her pale face.

Looking up, my eyes immediately connect with Liam as he looked at me with such adoration that it almost chocked me.

"Roselyn," Luna Amy gets up along with my mother tearing me away from my stare down with my mate. Luna Amy looked like a wreck but then again, who wouldn't be if their child had almost died. Unexpectedly I was pulled into a gentle but tight huge by my Luna, my stomach turning in pain as I felt the stitches rip open. "I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing our little girl home to us safe and sound."

I pull away gripping my stomach slightly. "It's nothing really Luna, I was just doing what I was tasked to do."

"Yes you were," Alpha Stanley finally joins in the conversation, his deep intimidating voice washing over me making me naturally drop my gaze. "And that's why we would like to reward you."

"Oh no Alpha," I shake my head vigorously. "I couldn't possibly accept."

There was a tight grip on my arm forcing me to look at Luna Amy; her greens eyes shone with hidden anger. "We want you to."
