I walked out the door and and crossed the street. I didn't go inside because if my mom was home she would ask questions about why I was already and I didn't feel like answering those. I opened the gate to my backyard. I sat down on swing set and slowly rocked back and forth.

Why.

That's all I could think about.

Why

Why were they all going and leaving me here.

Of course I'll have Sarah but I won't have anyone else.

I heard footsteps walking up the driveway.  They continued until they made their way through the gate and sat by me on the swing set.

"Hey" Tyler said

I slowly looked over at him. "Hey" I whispered.

"I'm not going with them either."  he said looking me in the eyes.

"Why?" I asked.

"Austin didn't ask.." a frown replaced a half smile that was on his face.

"Ty.. I'm so sorry."

Austin not asking Tyler to come with him is saddening. I remember when they were best friends.

"Did you even know that they were all going with Austin?" I asked still trying to wrap my mind around Austin not asking him to go.

"Not until Rob said something this afternoon." he said.

"Wow." was all I could manage to say. I wanted to yell at Austin. How could he just forget Tyler like that? "What caused you and Austin to drift apart?" I asked.

"You" he whispered quietly.

"What?" I asked, I could hear what he said.

"You" he said a little bit louder.

My heart sank. Shit. It was me wasn't it. I bit my lip. 'Tyler I am extremely sorry." I said looking at him.

"It's okay."

"Shit. Tyler, it's my fault. I feel so bad."

"It isn't all your fault. There were other reason why we started drifting apart."

I looked at him surprised. "Really?"

"They aren't treating me right, and we just don't have anything in common anymore. Well, besides you."

"Tyler, you have to tell them that."

"I can't"

"Do you want to go with them to Miami?"

"Well, kinda."

"You have to tell them how you feel."

My mom opened the back door. Dinner is ready. Tyler are you staying?" I looked at her and nodded my head that he was. "Well come inside then" she said as she walked inside.

"We aren't done talking about this." I said to him as I grabbed his hand and we walked in.

We sat at the table with my mom and Jake quietly. There was some small talk, but mostly silence. Once we had finished, I took Tyler up to my room so we could finish talking.

I sat down on the ledge by my window.  Tyler sat down next to me.

My phone started ringing, I looked at the screen and saw Austin's name on the screen. I shut off my screen and looked at Tyler.

"Tyler."

"It doesn't matter Amy. I'm not going to say anything, Austin can do what he wants. He is gonna live his dream and I'm happy for him." he said looking at me.
