"Alright, this is it." The young Dalmatian said to himself looking at the husky pup in front of him, who was talking with Skye in the other side of the room. "This is it. I'll tell Everest."

The more he looked at her, the more the blush on his face got darker.

"Show no fear, Marshall. It's just Everest, one of your best friends, the one you loved since the first time you saw her and the pup you want to spend the rest of your life with. Not a big deal." He tried to calm himself, but he just got more nervous. He took a deep breath and stood up.

"Ok... just do it." He said walking towards her. After several moments when his mind told him to get back, he was finally a step from her.

"E-Everest?" Marshall stuttered.

She turned her head "Uh? Oh, hi Marshall." She spoke, wagging her tail.

"C-Can we talk for a second? Alone?" he said, if it was physically possible, he would be sweating.

"Sure." She happily answered. Marshall started to breathe heavily as made her follow him to the cushions next to the big window, where the sunset illuminated the room.

"So, what's the problem?" She smiled.

"Ok, here's the thing. I..." He got even more nervous, now his face completely red.

"Yes?" she softly said, twinkling her eyes.

Let's finish this. He thought. "I-I want to tell you ... I think you are really beautiful and I kind of like you." "And... I was thinking if we could go out on a date sometime." Marshall said in a heartbeat, now was shaking a little. Everest remained silent for a moment; Marshall would have wished that she remained silent.

Instead, she laughed. It was like a giggle at first, but then it grew more and more.

"E-Everest?" He could feel tears forming in his eyes. But the laugh didn't stop; actually, now it sounded more like forced. She kept laughing like crazy.

"Ok, a simple 'no' was enough." Marshall mumbled, wiping the tears off his eyes. But that laugh just didn't stop.

He certainly didn't expect her to laugh, but he never, on his wildest dreams, would have guessed what he was about to see.

As Everest continued laughing, he heard another sound of giggling from behind. There, laughing too was...

"E-Everest?!" there was another female husky pup standing behind him with the same obnoxious laugh. The scene turned dark like the night, just leaving Marshall surrounded by two Husky pups, two Everest's.

His mind just blocked, and quickly replaced any thought he had by desperation.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

* * * * *

"AAAHHH!" Marshall woke up with a scream.

"Marshall?" the voice of Everest called him. When he opened his eyes, he realized that he was on his pup house, in his bed, with Everest, his girlfriend, right next to him.

"S-Sorry Everest, it was a nightmare." Marshall replied a little choppy.

"Oh, don't worry Marshall." She said approaching to his lips and planting a kiss. Marshall didn't say anything and closed his eyes to enjoy the moment. But he didn't know that Everest wasn't there anymore.

"I'm here for you." A familiar voice said from the spot where supposed to be Everest, it wasn't Everest's voice anymore, it was the voice of another pup. Marshall recognized the voice; he opened his eyes and saw...

"CH-CHASE?!" Marshall shouted in total shock.

"Marshall, what's the problem?" Chase calmly said, slowly moving away from his lips. Marshall looked around and everything turned dark again, but then...

* * * * *

"AAAHHH!"

"Marshall!" Everest yelled, shaking his body to wake him up. Marshall didn't allow himself to open his eyes, so he didn't realize that he was on the cushions in front of the big screen at the Lookout.

"Is that you, Everest?" Marshall said, with his eyes still closed, patting Everest's face with both his paws.

"Yes, I am." Everest giggled. Marshall opened an eye, when he saw that it was Everest, he sighed in relieve.

"It happened again." Marshall lied down in the beanbag.

"Who was this time?" She smiled softly, lying next to him.

"Chase..."

"How many times have I told you this? Don't drink Rocky's energy drink before bed time!" She giggled again.

"I should have listened to you." He said with fallen ears. Everest approached to him and licked his cheek to cheer him up.

"It's okay." She gently replied, letting out a little yawn. "It's pretty late. We better rest now." She said getting comfy, cuddling his boyfriend. Marshall did the same.

"Good night, Everest." He smiled.

"Good night, Marshall." She replied, quickly falling asleep. But something was still on Marshall's mind.

"Everest?" He whispered.

"Yeah..."

"You wouldn't laugh of me, would you?" He silently whined.

"No Marshall." She said with a sleepy voice. "You're my clumsy pup, but I wouldn't laugh of you if it hurts you."

"Thanks." He sighed relieved.

"Good night." She fell asleep again.

Marshall kissed her forehead, resting his head and looking at the roof, thinking before going to sleep.

"Her clumsy pup... wait, what?"
