When I had looked outside i saw my parents...SHOT. They struggled talking to my brother and I. Then they said

"call 911 and stay inside Nessa, keep your brother safe and no matter what happens we will always love you"

Then I went inside quickly and called 911. I told my brother don't go outside so he would be safe.

Then the police and ambulance had came and found the shooter and arrested him.

They then put my parents in the ambulance truck and we went in too.

Minutes later we arrived at the hospital my brother and I waited in the waiting room for quite a while and we were getting too worried. Then the doctor and came and announced they tried their best... And my parents are now dead.

I bursted out crying but my brother didn't understand what was going on. Then the doctor asked if I have any family nerby and I said no all of them lived either in Canada or the Bronx while I lived in North Carolina.

After that the doctor said me and my brother will be going to foster care. I was really scared they were going to split up me and my brother but the doctor said no worries, that me and and Brandon will be adopted together.

I wasn't ready to start a new life, or have a new family. I'm also really sad this had to happen on my birthday and that's when I realized I will never have a great birthday ever.

Soon the doctors found a way to get in contact with my family, but none of them could fly out because they are really busy. But when they heard the shocking news they cried over the phone. My aunt had told me to don't worry everything will be fine.
