The movie started and Ethan and his mom were sitting on the couch while Grayson joined me on the other large couch. He has a huge bowl of popcorn in his lap. He asks "want some?" As his mouth is piled full with popcorn. I laugh and say yes.
The movie is pretty scary to be honest. Lisa went upstairs to go to bed since she had work in the morning. A crack of lightening strikes and it causes Ethan to scream and just off of the couch leaving Grayson and I in laughter.
*Ethan's Prov*
The movie has ended and I turn to see Grayson and Avery passed out. I grab a blanket out of the blanket basket. Grayson's arms are wrapped around averys body. I put the blanket over both of them and I guess I woke up avery.
"Ethan?" She whispers
"Sorry, did I wake you?"
"Its okay, I gotta go"
"Alright I'll drive you home." I say
Both of us walk out the door quietly. I drive avery home. Pretty light conversations since it's midnight but there's nothing really to talk about.
I reach her home. "Thank you for the ride, goodnight Ethan" She says
"no problem, night" I say and watch to make sure she gets In the house then drive back home.
I try and walk quietly back into the house but to only wake Grayson. I suck and being quiet.
"Ethan?" grayson asks
"yeah"
Graysons eyes fill with panick.
"where's avery? where'd she go?"
He questions, fast.
"Relax, she left. I drove her home." I said
"Oh okay. Thanks man"
Grayson thanks me
"yeah you're welcome. Hey but can I ask you a question?"
I ask Grayson
"yeah sure, what is it?" He asks while rubbing his tired eyes.
"what happened to her? Her face, It has a bruise." I ask quietly
"I can't tell you Ethan. At least not now" Grayson says in his raspy voice. Grayson leaves to walk up the stairs to his room to leave me hanging in the living room. Thinking what's up with her.
