Chapter 26

Brent POV

"Heyyo, Brent" Hunter greeted me when he saw me approach him "Hey, buddy. Anything yet?" I asked sounding desperate. "Actually, yes" he replied, my eyes widened in excitement "Go call the others first and I'll tell you the results then" he continued "We're here already" Neels said next to Chris and Belle in next to Chris. "What're the results?" Chris asked not wasting anymore time and walking so that now his standing next to me.

A surpised yet scared expression appeard on Hunter's face, I gotta say, Chris does look intimidating. "Ummmm....Th-the results s-say they're at some...uhhh...abondened wa-warehouse near...uhhh...SpringHalt" Hunter replied nervously. Its funny, how a few minutes ago when Chris wasn't here he was so chill, now when Chris appeared he looked scared. My thoughts made me snort loudly causing everyone to stare at me and Chris glaring at me. Well someone's grumpy...

"I'm not grumpy, I'm just worried about the twins" Chris said all of a sudden. "Did I say that out loud?" I muttered under my breath. "Yes" Belle replied and I smiled sheepishly. "Heh, sorry" I apologised facing Chris. He rolled his eyes and snatched the paper that was in Hunter's hands. That paper must contain the address or something.

"What're you guys waiting for? The twins aren't getting any safer" Chris snapped when no one moved a muscle. Immediately, afraid of Chris bursting, everyone moved from their spot in panic including me and went behind Chris smiling innocently.

"Belle call Derek, tell him whats happening, Neels go find which car is the fastest and start the engine, we'll be waiting at the entrance and Brent....you, you can just follow me and don't do anything stupid" Chris ordered "Okay" Neels and Belle mumbled and went on with what they're supposed to do.

"You do realize that me not doing something stupid is impossible, right?" I questioned and Chris glared at me.

"Okay, so now what?" I asked yet another question.

"We wait" he replied and I looked at him confused. "How come we're not doing anything?" I asked another question, Chris turned around to face me and gave me the look, not a look, but the look. The look where someone could just murder you and might just do it. "You know what, never mind, heheh. I'll just see what happens next heheh" I spoke quickly and nervously. Chris looked satisfied and turned back around.

5 minutes later

I sighed. He didn't even spare a glance.

I sighed again. Nothing.

I sighed again my eyes widening. Nothing.

I sighed louder, my shoulders going down. "Yes" he finally turned around impatiently. "I'm bored" I complained. "Well thats not my problem" Chris replied. I touched my heart and leaned to the back a little "I didn't know you were a savage, Chris" I said smirking. "Maybe because I'm not" he stated rudely. "Yeah....suurree" I replied sarcastically.

"Brent, before I snap, shut up" he ordered. "I'm not a slave for you to boss around, I'm your best friend, your brother, family. Not a slave, I should be treated with respect too, Chris, not you only. I get that you're worried right now, but so am I. Put your mind into them but not too much cause you have to care for yourself too" I adviced and he turned around slowly.

"That may have been the smartest thing, you have ever said" he stated chuckling. "See theres the smile I wanna see from you" I said smiling too and punching him lightly at the shoulder. "Thanks dude" he said "Don't mention it" I said with a wave of a hand.

"Lets go wait at the entrance" he said and I nodded. When we arrived at the entrace, which is at the side of the road we used to go into the lab, Belle was already there but Neels wasn't.

"Hey, I called Derek just as you told me too and he said he'll meet us at "the" park" Belle said when she saw us. "Cool, thanks" Chris replied smilling towards her "Suuree, no problem" Belle said obviously confused as to why he was smilling when just a few minutes ago he sounded like he had a stick up his butt. She looked at me and raised and raised an eyebrow at me and I smirked in reply.

"Mmmmkkaaayy, I'm here. Lets go get your girlfriends, guys" Neels screamed in the car as he saw us. Belle rolled her eyes and got in the back seat, I followed after her and Chris got in the front seat next to Neels.

"Ready?" Neels breathed out

"Ready" all of us replied in unison.
