Look at lanky Griffith. This is her outfit when we initial meet her in her story. She wears white gloves and a long sleeve coat to hid her robotic arm. Why she switches to a sleeveless coat will be stated later.
Also did I mention that Griffith is really superstitious? In her world there are old wives tales like there are here. One is similar to step on a crack break your mother's back. She's very cautious about this one, and in fights she generally pays some attention to this in the beginning when things aren't so heated. Her superstition relates back to her childhood and her friend.
Additionally, Griffith is mistaken for a boy sometimes. She doesn't have a very feminine figure and she's so tall that sometimes people assume that she's a girly guy.
I shared Griffith's design with my physics teacher today. He enjoyed the little doodle, and I honestly have no idea what I would do without him. Talking to him makes the day seem so much less shitty.
