Yoongi looked at his watch. For the third time in two minutes.
He was not nervous, god no, but Jimin was already ten minutes late and Yoongi started to question if he would show up at all.
They agreed to meet after a rather short conversation on the phone and now Yoongi was standing next to the fountain on the plaza where they wanted to meet, but the younger was nowhere to be seen.
Just to look busy, and not like someone who was dumped by his date, Yoongi pulled out his phone, but there were no interesting messages he could distract himself with. Only a short information about the next course he would be attending in college. But that wasn't something that he cared about right now so he opened the chat with Jimin only to see that he hadn't been online since this morning. Great.Something told him just to go and to forget about all this. The idea of taking pictures of something that mattered, not just flower pictures or buildings because the professor said so. Jimin wouldn't come. Yoongi picked up his camera bag, that he had placed next to him on the ground and shouldered it.
"Hey, I'm late. Sorry." A voice behind him suddenly said and Yoongi turned around.
There he was: Park Jimin, in all his wannabe-punk glory. He was wearing ripped jeans and boots again, but this time with an old flannel shirt and a leather jacket and Yoongi thought that this described Jimin's style pretty good. To be honest, he could imagine Jimin wearing such clothes every day, maybe there weren't even things in his closet that weren't "punk".
"How about we sit down over there?" Jimin pointed to a small café on the other side of the plaza.
"Sounds good."*****
"And you're playing the guitar?"
"Playing the guitar? You make it sound like I'm playing in a church band. C'mon, I'm the lead guitarist of a punk rock band, playing the solos. And sometimes I sing a bit. But only background." He winked and ran his hand through his hair.During their little talk about Young Nation, a still not-so-well-known punk band Jimin was part of, Yoongi noticed that Jimin kind of tried to keep up an image of the typical rock guitarist, with all his shameless flirting, the leather jackets, boots and ripped skinny-jeans. It would be interesting to see what truly was behind all this, the real Jimin, Yoongi thought and took a sip of his coke.
"By the way: I asked the other members... and they would really appreciate you taking pictures at our performances." Jimin said casually while glancing out of the window, not making eye contact with Yoongi who almost choked at his coke and felt a slight blush creeping on his face. Jimin talked about him with the other members?
He must have been quiet for a longer time than he thought, because Jimin chuckled, looked at him again and added: "Just in case you want to, of course."
"Yes, sure! I'd love to." Yoongi nodded quickly. "It's a great opportunity, to be honest."
A big grin spread on the guitarist's face: "Okay, listen: I told you about that drummer audition earlier. How about you come, take a first look and get to know the other members?"
"Yeah, that would be great." Yoongi said but was a bit confused about Jimin suddenly standing up and pulling out his wallet it of his jeans pocket.
"Gotta go now. Practice." He explained while taking out a few notes and putting them on the table.
"I'll text you the address and time?"
"Okay. So, see you on Saturday."
"Yeah. Bye, Yoongi." Jimin gave him a friendly clap on the shoulder and left the café, leaving the smell of leather and deodorant behind.
Yoongi looked out of the window next to him and saw Jimin putting up the collar of his jacket and then leaving.*****
He was late, super late. After missing the first bus and waiting for the next one, he almost forgot to get off at the right station and then there was this nice little park on his way to the rehearsal room and Yoongi only wanted to take a few pictures, really. But there were so many things he just needed to capture and now he was super late and had to hurry to make it to the drummer audition Jimin invited him to on time.
Yoongi quickly pulled out his phone. The audition was said to start at 3 pm ... and it was already one minute after three. Great. The first time he would meet the band and he was late. That totally helped with the first impression.
He sighed and walked faster.
After a few more minutes he finally arrived at the building Jimin has described to him. A bit distant from the city centre, with a metal door as an entrance.Yoongi made his way over, when he saw that he wasn't the only one arriving just now.
Another boy was approaching the building with quick steps, a pair of drum sticks in his hand. When he saw the boy with the camera he slowed down and smiled friendly."Oh, are you late too?" He asked and held out his hand for Yoongi to shake. "Jin, nice to meet you."
Finally, here is chapter four. It's a little short but we hope you enjoyed and sorry that we kept you waiting for so long.
Lots of love.Alaska & Charly
