Hi! My name is Kim. I'm 19 years old and I'm from Australia. My dad was a soldier, but he died two years ago, and my mom has cancer. So you could say I live a pretty rough life. I'm an only child, so I'm home alone most of the time. In university I study graphic design. Since my mom is in the hospital a lot, I have to pay for food and stuff my self, so I have a part time job as a waitress in a cafe. I don't like that job at all, but I have to do it.

I'm happy that it's summer now, coz if it was fall, then I would have to go back to university and the whole job thing could get tricky... I can't spend my summer like other teenagers or kids with their family, because: 1) my family is ether dead or in the hospital; 2) I can't afford to go on a trip to a different country; 3) I have no time to do that stuff anyway because of my boring, terrible job. + I can't even hang out with my friends (well, hardly ever) BECAUSE OF MY JOB! I dunno...I guess I just got unlucky with this whole family thing...I guess I'll just have to deal with it...
