"Run!", my Mom screams as they attacked her and my father. "Go to the forest. When you've passed the river you'll be safe."
I grabbed my twins hand and dragged her through the forest.
An ungodly screech sounded behind us.
I looked back and a demon was gaining on us.
I looked in the eyes of my sister, I couldn't let them take her.
The stream was just ahead of us but I knew that the demon would catch up to us before we reach it.
"Go Amber", "I'll distract them while you escape".
"No! We are going to get away from them together", she cried.
"You need to listen to me, I am older than you"
"Only by 3 minutes", she replied.
"It is my job as the older sibling to always make sure you are safe", I drew in large amounts of energy from the plants around us. As it build up I threw it towards my sister and watch her land across the stream
"Why did you do that?!"
"Amy please come with me", she screamed
But I couldn't.
I used the last of my energy ensuring her safety.
The demon grabbed my weakened body and drew me toward the others.
The last thing I saw before I faded into the darkness was my sister crying out trying to reach me.
