Chapter 4

It was five past ten when he drove me to my house. I sat in the jeep, never wanting to come out, but i knew i had to.We kissed for what seemed like forever until he pulled away and promised to call me tomorrow then i kissed him one last time for the night and went inside.

My parents were sitting down at the diner table obviously waiting for me to explain their lies and how i found out. I walked up to the, not sitting down and said, "I want to know the truth, every last bit of it and nothing but."

I was brave and desperate to know the truth because for my parents to lie to me about something so big really pissed me off and it hurt too. 

I don't want to be a princess! I'm already a freak. Being a princess is not my dream, i'm not that type of girl and that's what angered me the most, maybe if i grew up knowing who and what i am then i probably would be that girl but since that time has passed, we have to deal with now.

Dad started first "Chloe, we are so sorry that we didn't tell you he truth, long ago."

"So then its true, your the King and Queen of the Coven," I said wanting to get to the point.

Yes, we are but we have a reason for not telling you from birth that your a cross breed between a witch and a vampire and that we are the King and Queen," Mom intervened.

"Really, and what reason is that?" i really didn't want to be mean or fasty but this situation demanded it so i folded my arms and stared them down. 

"Honey, you're just finding about all this and that's good but there are thing you don't know"

Obviously!!, i screamed in my head but didn't say anything out loud.

"There are people who don't really like us in power and they would do anything to throw us out," Mom continued.

We were trying to keep you safe by not telling you," Dad finished.

'Haven't i heard that one before' my mind rambled on.

"These people, think that you could also be extremely powerful and deadly to them because of your breed and so they are bent on destroying you as well as us, they even declared a war against our people" Dad said sternly and angrily.

"So who are these people that's wants to throw you out and get rid of me?" I asked, actually getting interested.

"Well, we don't know exactly know who they are, all we know is that they are witches. Their side of warriors are brewing up and they are demanding that we step down from the thrown so that they could take our positions, threatening us of what and who they will hurt saying that you would regret ever being born the way you did, so we had to keep you protected from all of this," Mom said.

"Along with you we alsoo need to protect the people who are loyal to us, who you now have responsibility for," Dad added.

I looked at my parents as if i've never seen them before. I looked into each of their faces, not having anything to say. I was completely and utterly speechless (for the second time of the day.)

"So you see, we had to keep all of this away from you, we wanted to tell you but we needed to keep you secure." Mom said

"I understand that you needed to keep me safe but im still not going to forgive you guys so easily for lying to me about my life, making me feel so inadequate, i mean the thought of being a princess completely repulses me because im not that girly type you guys always wanted me to be but i guess i cant do anything about that now," I said with a heavy sigh.

"We know that you feel inadequate and we also realize that you don't want to be a princess and we are truly sorry for that but we will be willing to help you learn how to manage your powers if that would make you feel better.

"Well dad, id love for you to help me with my vampire ' weirdness' but Mom I already have a tutor for magic, but i guess i can do with the extra help."

"Is that the boy you've been hanging out with alot lately?" she asked smirking.

"Yes mom, but its none of your business," I stated rolling my eyes but blushing in the process as i remembered my evening with Dustan's hot kisses.

While i was lost in my mind thinking about Dustan, the lights flickered and the radio turned on automatically and started to play Moment Like This by Kelly Clarkson.

Dad completely ignored the romantic song and said "Well...(clearing his throat), Id like to meet this young man.Invite him over and this will give me a good chance to interrogate this boy," dad said sternly getting up to turn off the radio.

Dad, please I really like this guy, don't ruin this for me please," I begged, but was touched by the fact that he actually cared.

"Well if your magic reacts to him by only just a thought then maybe he really is important.....don't worry I wont embarrass and upset you sweetheart," Dad smiled but it looked forced.

He came over to hug me and then walked off in to the kitchen mumbling that he needed a drink.

mom came to sit beside me then and asked 'Chloe, are you sure your not moving too fast with this boy?..I mean you met him  a few weeks ago and now your emotions are tied up with him magically already."

"Mom..l-Im fine"

"Are you sure we don't need to have THE TALK darling?" she said with a worried smile.

"MOTHER!!!...Im FINE!!..jezzzz" I said running away while she just laughed.

When i reached the steps to go upsairs dad stopped me with a glass of scotch in his hand "So are we OK now darling?"

yeah we're good," I said smiling and he grabbed me into a hug and i hugged him back then pulled away to say "No more lies, I can handle the truth, just dont lie to me again no matter how good it is for me."

"No problem baby"

Finally walking off and arriving at my bedroom door, I heard and saw mom say to dad downstairs "I can't wait to meet this boy tomorrow, Im so esctatic,"

Dad grunted, took a long drink from his glass and said "Speak for yourself" and then mom laughed and kissed him on his cheek.

I went in my room not want to hear mom go on and on about meeting Dustan. After dropping in my besd  I texted him to ask if if he can come ovrer tomorrow to meet my parents. I warned him about my dad and how mom was so happy that she was jumping out of her pants. i even told him how i was nervous but he said he was going to come anyways.

he himself was extremely excited and slightly nervous because he says he want to impress them, not only because they are King and Queen but because they are my parents.

Even though everything seemed as if it was going to be ok, I couldn't help but have a worried and anxious feeling that something bad was going to happen.
